Re: Hesitation/stutter off the line-the fix
What if I told you guys that you could solve this problem without buying any new clutch shoes.... and without even needing to turn a single wrench or other tool?? Just need to follow this simple remedy: https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?p=137407#p137407 Use full throttle with the brakes on. Slo...

Re: Variator rollers - a right and wrong way to fit, appare
I would think the rhs would make more sense... as when you are accelerating, the polymer would need to smoothly roll against that right side. Variator spinning counter-clockwise means the rollers at the top would be rolling against the right. When letting off the gas, the rollers would more or less ...

Re: Which clutch pads do I need/want? Should I change sprin
gn2, that link doesn't help in any way. IN OTHER NEWS.... I haven't really had much time to play with my PCX this weekend. But I went ahead and ordered new clutch assembly, new belt, and skipped the clutch pack (pads + springs) since they should last another 10k or 20k miles. What I did add to my or...

Re: Bike stuttering at constant speeds
If it only stutters at constant speeds, then the fix is easy.... Just keep twisting the throttle back and forth!! Only partly kidding, but I feel after all this trouble you've gone thru, you should be able to describe the problem with a little more detail now. Exactly when does this stuttering happe...

BTW.... This guy... https://m.facebook.com/groups/855220961172402?view=permalink&id=2961822187178925 ... mentions that the NMax clutch is plug and play, but it's a thicker and longer surface on the friction area. Another person in the thread mentions that The NMax pads didn't stop the vibrations...

Re: Which clutch pads do I need/want? Should I change sprin
What the heck is "some wet and dry"? And yes, gn2... That was a clearly failed attempt at a joke.
I'm gonna be changing the variator, rollers, and belt, so I'd rather just change the clutch and/or clutch bell while I'm in there if it will COMPLETELY stop the vibrations for a few years....

Re: Which clutch pads do I need/want? Should I change sprin
....but tbh, near six years use and near 20,000 miles, I had the clutch off the bike some weeks back and the stock pads look fine and still work fine - no need to change them yet and since clearing dust out, any judder has mostly gone. Clearing out dust? I thought the glazing was caused by oils or ...

Re: How many miles do you have on your PCX
Bought my 2013 with 300 miles maybe 2 or 3 years ago. Now it's got 10,300 miles on it. Only replaced the tires w/ City Grips. And had to change the camshaft tensioner. Other than that, no major problems. It's always ready to go!! Just ordered a Cheeky seat cover, variator schtuff, rollers, etc..... ...

And my first question is now my last and only question....
Should just order the stock clutch pads and reuse the springs?? ... or try to find a whole new clutch disk assembly already together, like the green aftermarket ones, or what??

Ahhh... It looks like this is what they're referring to as sliders... https://www.scooterworks.com/NCY-CVT-Sl ... 12415.aspx
Looks like they go between variator & ramp plate. Are these necessary, or even recommended?? Guess 3 is all that's needed? .. not 6?

Re: Have a 2013 PCX. Should I upgrade, get a 2019, DCT, or
I found a dealer that had an XMax 300 in stock. Liked the looks, but it seemed so top heavy... like heavier than the Yamaha MT-07!! The CTX700 certainly feels way lighter. If the Forza and Silver Wing both feel as top heavy as the XMax.... then I guess the CTX is probly the only other bike I'd consi...

Re: Have a 2013 PCX. Should I upgrade, get a 2019, DCT, or
I would like to add that I'm looking for something that's at least as comfortable as the PCX, which is probly pretty hard to find. The only bikes I've had the opportunity to sit on are the Smax, which was too cramped for me as someone who prefers a feet forward riding position, and while feet back, ...

Have a 2013 PCX. Should I upgrade, get a 2019, DCT, or ...?
So I bought this 2013 PCX a couple years ago. Only things I've really done to it were out of ABSOLUTE necessity -- tires and camshaft tensioner. I ride this thing every day, and every day I think I need to do the humpectomy, the variator/roller/belt upgrade, fix the clutch whine/grind & slipping...

Re: OBD2 on Honda PCX that works!
Found my ELM327 adapter and even tried an HT200 adapter I picked up from Walmart that supposedly had "more PIDs" and/or protocols or something... Still... *NO PROTOCOL* works with this Lonelec 4 pin adapter and my PCX. I'm bummed, because this would've been so awesome. Wondering if the OP ...
