New vid: Dubois PA, to Byrndale, to Parker Dam state park

I can't ride at the moment due to a pinched nerve in my neck, but I was still able to edit video from last weekend. Come ride with me.

Yeah, I prefer them still standing, but when they are half fallen like that, there's something about it that appeals to my artsy heart.

Thanks for watching :)

Re: anybody riding?

Went about 200 miles from home to visit with my wife's family. Did some exploring. Got what I thought was a cool pic of the old depot in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania.

rural riding near Helvetia PA (abandoned coal town)

Spent the weekend in rural north-western Pennsylvania. Got some footage of some lovely rural areas in Clearfield County PA.

Ride from Lancaster PA to Dubois PA

Took a ride to visit family. Video is a mix of commentary and segments of slightly sped up riding through the mountains. The last bit is commentary on how bad the roads are in the rain right now. I've never had such a hard time riding in the rain, because the oily residue is usually mitigated by car...

Re: The Scooter Doctor makes a housecall

Nice weather to ride it seems. I have a 2010 Elite which has 29K miles on it. Awesome bikes. I'd say I was surprised at just how good they are...but then, it's a Honda, so I shouldn't be. It is a very good little machine, but I think he only has about 4,000 miles on it. I change the oil for him eve...

How to: Access Combined brake reservoir on first gen PCX

I didn't see another video on this, and I just threw one together for a guy on a PCX facebook group, so I figured I'd share it here.

This is on a 2013 but it should be the same for all first generation PCX scooters. I can't speak for second or third gen.

The Scooter Doctor makes a housecall

Rode the PCX to Terre Hill PA yesterday to pop a battery in my buddy's 2010 Elite. It was a beatiful day and I rolled through a few sleepy little towns and lots of farmland.

If you go to the youtube page, I commented with timestamps for those who want to skip around.

Re: Near miss and horn test

So it seems all the idiots have emerged since some of the lockdown is relaxing a bit. Got real rattled by a near miss today. It's the first one I've gotten on camera in quite a while. My new horn works...but she didn't care. I also talk a little about other idiocy as well. If you just want to see t...

Re: questions from a soon-to-be rider

Hello to all. I have been following the forum for a few weeks. I have rented scooters (PCX) in France and recently got my motorcycle license here in California. Looking at buying a red 2020 PCX ABS. A few questions: 1. I am having a hard time finding one. My local dealer has none in stock and does ...

Re: New helmet, with Sena bluetooth

Sounds like your new helmet and sound gear are working well . . .. I've always had good luck with HJC helmets. 8) The new helmet seems to capture sound better, so it echoes a bit in the mic. It's fixed the voice pickup issue just a little too well. It is; however, the most comfortable helmet I have...

Re: CVT filter

Thanks Paul...........Since heat seems to be the drive belts worst enemy, and the PCX does just fine w/o a filter, was wondering if the filter is actually needed. Suppose if one rides in sand/dirt,maybe. Have to think that the PCX belt probably runs cooler since there is no filter to impede air flo...

New helmet, with Sena bluetooth

I got a new helmet about a week and a half ago. It's an HJC i-10, bluetooth ready. The Sena 10B is made to fit it, so it was the obvious choice at my pricepoint. There is another Sena that will fit it, but the 10B was $100 less. Theres some other cool stuff in the vid, like a close call and an old P...

Re: Near miss and horn test

Either total ignorance or the pillar between the windshield and passenger side door window blocked you out of view. That said I've noticed a lot more people rolling through stop signs as well . . .. Be safe out there! Total ignorance is going to have to be the case, since she didn't respond at all ...

Re: Near miss and horn test

We are noticing a big increase in the "I don't care who is in my way. Get out of my way or get run over!" types of drivers, now that the lockdown is being relaxed a little. Who would have thought that opening the haircut studios, massage parlors, and tattoo shops would cause traffic jams!...

Truer words are rarely spoken. I always leave my LED markers on when I park my scooter in a lot because people have tried to park on top of it. Then there are the close calls like this one.

Very nice. I like the seat. If you ever are headed to Lancaster county, I'd be delighted to ride with you...I do plan on taking a ride out to Valley Forge soon, maybe you could join me.

Re: CVT filter

There isn't a filter listed in the parts list, nor is it really necessary. the air intake is to the side so the risk of larger pieces coming in is reduced. In the time I've been riding small scooters (12 years), I've never sucked anything into the CVT.
