Re: Newbie Intro

Cool, well the parts you'd want are: NCY variator $60 http://www.corsportusa.com (will say it's for 2010+ PCX125) NCY drive face $30 http://www.corsportusa.com (May also say for 2010+ PCX125) 13G NCY roller weights $20 on Amazon Not only will your bike have higher top speed, it will also accelerate ...

Re: Acceleration ONLY! PCX 150 2013

I'd change the roller weights for you no charge, but I'm in San Diego right near the airport. Kind of a long ride! =P If you don't have access to a compressor and air impact gun with a 19mm and I believe 24mm socket...then just pay a scoot shop to do it. Yeah, look up youtube...it's pretty basic.

Re: Hello! Hopeful new owner of a 2013 150!

Don't sweat the mileage too much. It's just that quite often (more than not) scooters are purchased by newbies who quickly decide they want something larger, or get scared by a car, or can't handle winter riding. So, lots of low mileage offerings out there. You got a decent price. So don't sweat it,...

Re: Newbie Intro

Awesome!! I'm in San Diego too. What part of town are you in? We're in Pt Loma. Good price on the scoot btw! I have a white 2015 also I bought used with 900 miles. Used to ride sportbikes too, but got busted doing a wheelie, and figured I'd keep myself out of trouble. My wife has her M1 license also...

Re: Hello! Hopeful new owner of a 2013 150!

The mileage is a bit concerning. Basically, multiply whatever miles a motorcycle has by 4 and you get it's equivalent in car miles. Because basically, a motorcycle that makes it to 50k is an anomaly. And going past 60k is a miracle! Sure, you have the odd story of people getting 100k out of a bike, ...

Re: PCX 2015 - 2014 side by side

Difference more pronounced for us Americans who have the ugly stalk type turn signals on our 2013's. I could actually live with a Euro PCX 2013.

Re: Acceleration ONLY! PCX 150 2013

Nothing wrong with optimizing the bike for better accel. Often times, it's some kooky decibel restriction that really screws it up for motorcycles. So, tuning the roller weight is a great idea. Also the exhaust can help a bit (but be a lot more pricey and have some negatives, like being louder). Int...

Re: Acceleration ONLY! PCX 150 2013

Yeah, rollers will have the biggest effect. Remve the snorkel in the airbox though...takes 5 mins. 12G sliders would be a great start and prob great finish to your acceleration quest.

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review

Oh yeah, saving 5lbs off the battery doesn't hurt. Losing a few lbs DEFINITELY will help up any sort of incline.

Also, u are still running the stock rollers. When you get your new lighter ones in, that will make a nice difference.

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review

Forgot to mention I have a Takegawa Power Silent Oval Exhaust and a pod filter directly on the Throttle Body.

Homie, remove that centerstand! It's a liability in the corners and is an extra 2.75lbs dead weight!

Re: Michelin tire installed, bench & review

VIDEO!!! 0-60 starts @ exactly 20 seconds, and ends a bit after 33 seconds. 13.25 secs 0-60 =) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUYADMWggzU I'm hearing a bit of a dip in the RPM, thinking a switch to 12g rollers could be the sweet spot, bus as Sendler said, without a tach, no way of knowing for sure.

Re: Two Scooter Household

On the Forza (no ABS) it was $4800 + $199 OTD. You still haven't swapped out the variator? =( Congrats on the Forza. Looking forward to hearing your impressions! I owned a Reflex and was unimpressed. I think the extra 30cc and the fuel injection should go a long way in making in a cut above the Ref...

Re: 2013 Performance

25 mph winds and cold didn't do much for testing anything other than my handling skills today. Bike handles great and sounds really good now. When acceleration out of a corner at abut 25mph at WOT, it jumps to 8k-8.2k rpms and seems to pull really nicely there. Is that at the end of the Power and t...
