you you wrote:Can't you just get the temperature off your phone. Why is it so important anyway?
I will speak for myself. I like to know what the temp is in the mountains. Getting close to 32F I ride more conservatively. Can't see the black ice in the shade.

Re: Malossi rear shocks (twins!)

For Christmas this year, I bought myself a pair of Malossi shocks for my Forza. $250 on eBay. I waited til I had about 300 miles on them before giving my spin on these. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. There really is no difference on monster rim bending Wisconsin potholes but where they reall...

Re: Charging Capacity?

Good to know the alternator puts out 380 watts. Thank you. My Widder vest draws 45 watts at full heat. I ran a fused SAE plug direct to the battery. I close the seat and just hang it out near my left thigh. Works out great I just didn't want to discharge my battery.

Charging Capacity?

Can anyone point me to the charging capacity of our Forza's? I would like to know if I could run my GPS and heated vest without any problems.
Thank you

Re: Rear tire wear = Front end wobble/shimmy on the Forza 30

Do you have a top case on your Forza? If I put too much beer and groceries in my top case, my front end gets wonky on a rough stretch of road nearing my home. If I put the beer and grub under the seat, the bike handles fine on the same piece of road.

Re: What's a meteorite worth?

Is that a silver dollar or a liberty dime? In either case, it is probably worth more than the meteorite. . It is a Silver Dollar sorry I didn't point that out. When my Mom died, we found 74 of those old suckers in her bank deposit box. Our family had no idea she collected them. Each kid took one ho...

What's a meteorite worth?

So I am cutting firewood in my woods today. I see a shiny object poking up through the leaves. I don't have a job anymore I retired last Friday. :D :geek: It's a meteorite. We found one on our farm growing up so I knew what it was first time I saw it. It is about this size of a large clenched fist. ...

Re: Three recalls done at mile zero

BRed I got my Iron Butt on a Honda CB1100. It performed flawlessly. But is was built in Japan.
GN2 I wanted to ride it home from the dealer but wife wouldn't take a day off work to get me there. Oh well. I would much rather ride a bike than trailer it.

Three recalls done at mile zero

So, I bought a zero mile 2014 Honda Forza today. First time I have ever bought a vehicle that had three recalls done before I took possession. The dealer replaced the fuel pump, replaced the wonky seat strut thing, and re torqued the brake line fitting under the front dash. THAT was a bugger the mec...

Re: across the US and back on the PCX125... my experiences

What a gret ride! Wondering if anyone knows how much it costs to get in to this rally? Do they limit the number of riders? Is it held every year? I know, too many questions but I am intrigued.

I have done many 1000 mile days on larger motorcycles set up for touring. It is not torture if set up right. I am not sure how to set up a PCX150 for touring. Maybe just grab a credit card, cell phone, and a bottle of ibuprofen and go,,,,,,

Iron Butt on a PCX?

Just curious, has anybody done an Iron Butt ride on a PCX yet? For those that don't know what an Iron Butt is, it is a documented 1000 mile ride in less than 24 hours. I think I need to try one on this little scooter one of these days.

Re: PCX 125 30 Liter Trunk Box

OK, I will give it a shot. I am a backyard/shade tree engineer. Most of the stuff I had already in my scrap pile. The angle aluminum pieces are about 10.5 inches long. I angled them to follow the curve on the GIVI plate. The angle started as 2" by 2". I cut it down to 1"by 1.5". ...

As a life long motorcyclist I have only one thing to say (maybe two)
ride as if you are invisible
many who drive cars are trying to kill us

glad you are still breathing
get well soon and jump back on that scooter!

I am 5'8" no buffeting but the air flow hits me solid in the lips to nose region. If it rains I hunker down just a little. :D
