Re: 100,000 mile scooters

Hello Dave, have you ever replaced the clutch bearings in the 100k miles? my rear wheel makes awful noises when I turn it by hand, I probably need new clutch bearings, I am having severe medical problems, see below, it will have to wait, I may never ride again.I have severe pain in my right leg. I ...

Re: Drive belt torque settings?

I have replaced several belts, I had one bolt come loose, I am not a mechanic, several have been OK, my Forza has 178,00 km 110,000 miles on it I made a variator holder out of plywood and some wood screws, I get the bolt torqued properly I am amazed at the tolerances of some cheap torque wrenches, v...

Re: Time for a New Tire?

I have a cold and am barely functional, might have had a minor stroke also. The carbon Fibre mesh tires would probably wear out the roads. Our roads are bad enough handling rubber tires. They did something similar on the moon rovers in the 70's. It would be interesting to try. Who has a few million ...

Re: Time for a New Tire?

Rubber tires are so last century. I want carbon fibre airless tires that last 1,000,000 miles.

Re: Time for a New Tire?

I currently have a Pirelli Diablo Rosso Scooter Rear Tire 150/70-13 on my scooter. Same price compared to Michelin but it was available.

Re: Time for a New Tire?

That is a good rear tire. I would get the 150/70-13 size.

My City Grip 2 was a Mud and Snow tire, bonus for all the crappy weather I ride in.

Re: Time for a New Tire?

I like the Michelin City Grip 150/70-13. I replace about 2 or 3 rears for each front. I also mix and match brands. Size is not that important either. I did not like the 60 series tire but it works. Almost any brand is good enough. I enjoyed the Heidenaus also. I ride a lot in the rain. Over 100,000 ...

Front Wheel ABS Sensor

How do you remove the Front Wheel ABS Sensor? I removed the two bolts and then nothing comes apart. I have had it apart a long time ago. I ride in the rain and salt water a lot in BC, Canada. Has the sensor corroded to the brake caliper? I think I broke the wires trying to get it out. ABS light flas...

How big are you? Height? Weight? Where are you? Get your ass stronger. Wear silky style underwear. Cotton is not good. I wear a Walmart polyester / spandex boxers & long underwear base layer all year. I want to try Merino Wool but I am poor. You are American so I can probably say "Loose Wei...

Re: Front Brake - slight pulsing grinding noise when applying front brake

Don't forget that the Forza has linked brakes. If you put on the front brakes you use two pistons (1,3) but if you put on the rear brakes you use one rear piston and one front piston(middle, #2)

Re: Front Brake - slight pulsing grinding noise when applying front brake

You can do a visual inspection on the front pads very easily without having to take anything apart. Have a knowledgeable friend take a 5 second look.
