Re: 2015 PCX rear brakes: removal, cleaning, checking and re

I will now try to make a PDF file small enough to store and share on Google Drive.

Once done, I will share the address as above.

I will also check whether I can make a public (do not require your mail address in advance) Google Drive address for the PDF file.

2015 PCX rear brakes: removal, cleaning, checking and re-ass

WANT PICTURES? It takes so long to upload pics here or to tinypic.com or a similar site that I have made a PDF of this post with the same text but with big, clear photos for anyone who wants it. P.M. your mail address to me for that please. I should get it to you within a couple of weeks - I do not ...

Re: Access the CBS master cyIinder: a work-around to the man

Hello PXC-in-japan San... It is a bit confusing, but on the 2015PCX there are three inner covers. The real COVER, INNER (81131-K35-V00) and an OUTER, R. INNER COVER (81138-K35-V00) and an OUTER, L. INNER COVER (81139-K35-V00). The later has to be removed first. They come out as reverse order, so le...

Re: Access the CBS master cyIinder: a work-around to the man

Can I ask why you need to access the CBS master cylinder? The fluid level can be very deceiving looking through the inspection window. You have a 2015 PCX, highly unlikely you need to do anything. Of course you can ask. The bike has been on the road since March 2015. It is now October 2016. I want ...

Re: Transmission oil check/change !!

For everyone but particularly in response to ScooterAddict and Alibally who were kind enough to offer advice regarding my post of June 11th 2016. I cannot disagree with you technically, but I would like to tell you both what the 2015 PCX service manual and a Honda dealer mechanic report. I now have ...

Access the CBS master cyIinder: a work-around to the manual?

Sometimes people on here say there is a way of doing a certain job that is less complex than it is in the manual. I have just checked my 2015/150 manual to find that access to the CBS master cylinder requires removal of the following for the 2015 PCX: Remove the inner cover (page 2-13) (In order to ...

Re: Need help with dismantling sequence for 2015 PCX 125, (B

Hi Rob. If there are questions after this, for example 'What does the manual picture look like?', you'll need to PM me for a 'more thorough' explanation :) Before I begin, it seems to me, too, that someone is trying to take your friend's money for a job that, under normal riding conditions, is sched...

Re: How-To: Completely Dismantle A PCX

Another tip: The screws may look like Philips and for the most part a Philips will work, but they're actually JIS. The geometry is just different enough that you can strip the head on tight fasteners. A set of JIS screwdrivers is worth adding to your toolbox. A fact I should have been aware of befo...

Re: How-To: Completely Dismantle A PCX

Thanks for this how-to - much appreciated. When I get to the point of any self-service of my 2015 model, things will be different, but it's great having a comprehensive hot-to like this all the same. Now that I have the full manual (200 fekking dollars), I am going to take off the panels necessary ...

Re: That is the most expensive book I have ever bought!

You bought this? http://www.hondampe.com.au/docs/owning_a_honda/owners_manuals/motorcycles/Scooter_PCX125_2011.pdf No. That is an owner's manual, which gives very basic information, and comes free with every bike. I bought the 2013-2015 (now known as the 2013-2017) Service Manual (also known as a f...

Re: That is the most expensive book I have ever bought!

Hey pcx-in-japan, please know that I am not suggesting you paid too much. I also live overseas and know the challenge of ordering things. It is unfortunate that you had to pay so much for shipping, but you do what you have to do. I was fortunate enough that I was able to get mine delivered to the U...

Re: ...Erm, hello...

"That is the most expensive book I have ever bought!" You must not have bought a college textbook recently (for self or dependent). ;) Another perspective: If you save yourself a couple or so hours labor charges at the dealer the manual will have paid for itself. I went to uni in 1993 at ...

Re: That is the most expensive book I have ever bought!

You simply don't need the service manual to do routine servicing. Complete waste of your cash. I am only half in agreement with you. I find many posts and videos somewhat vague. I hope, of course, that I never have to do anything more than routine servicing, and so you may be right, but my other ch...

That is the most expensive book I have ever bought!

Wow, doing my own maintenance is turning out to be much, much more costly than a Honda dealer's servicing. I have just ordered the 2013-2017 manual for my '15 LED PCX Sit down before you read this: Sit down! $200.23 Yes, that's two hundred dollars. Manual is 43 Handling is 40 Shipping is 117 (to Jap...

Frustrating right? Well, I just tried getting online with Helm. Their site is very slow today and Yes, I did see just "white" in their drop down box. I waited a bit and then the webpage was fully loaded. All systems go! :D I'm going to link you directly to the 2015 Helm service manual. I ...

Re: 2015 Wiring Diagram

Helm is great for those in the US but charge a ridicuous amount for postage outside the US - over $120! For those outside the US there's another site that people have used and the price is good but I believe they are not originals - http://www.service-shop-repair-manual.com/ < very good copies but ...

Re: How to: brake fluid replacement

I have found the location of the combi master cylinder. Do you have a pic or a link to one, to show which plastic cowl / panel needs to be removed for access to it? Or a pic of the combi master cylinder and a little of the surrounding area would be good. Or just a description of which screws / trim ...

Re: Small lights either side of the 2015 LED headlight unit

Could you please post an annotated diagram or photo so we can see what it is you're referring to? I have a 2013, and I just can't picture what your headlight assembly looks like. There are '15 owners here though. If they could see what you mean, they likely can help. My mistake. I just had a proper...
