Re: where you buy plastics?

My habit seems to be buying cosmetically challenged, and uncared for scooters (mainly Chinese ones), and restoring them to (almost) normality whilst riding them.

I use pedparts a lot for plastic parts.

Re: Office-friendly riding footware

Whether it's of any interest, the Jenny in my profile name refers to Jenny Tinmouth, which is what some old work colleagues named me after I started riding motorbikes. (She is the fastest female to lap the Isle of Man TT course and a phenomenal racer.) The Lilly Pink also refers to another nickname,...

Re: PCX Replacements

A few days ago riding, and driving, through my 150,000 population city in the middle of the mid-west, what do I see but a west coast phenomenon all over the place, namely LIMEBIKES! Limebike is a company that rents bikes, and now ebikes and escooters, on a phone-based basis that, according to Limeb...

Kind of off topic but this is for Jenny. This is what my wife rides with. She is short and i couldn't get her scooter low enough to allow her to comfortably touch the ground at stops. https://www.amazon.com/Pleaser-Womens-Ranger-301-Platform-Black/dp/B00EWC4990/ref=sr_1_11?s=apparel&srs=2598667...

Re: Office-friendly riding footware

One thing I love about riding auto scooters is that my choice of footwear isn't restricted to ones I can change gear and use a footbrake in. Currently revisiting New Rocks I hadn't worn since 2009. Perhaps a tad off topic though. Him indoors has a pair of Trickers that look very smart but are also ...

Much easier maintenance and immune to sticky caliper syndrome.

I prefer a rear drum too. :)

I used to have a few credit cards, after listening to some of Dave Rameys videos, I cancelled them all. Its cash or go without for me. https://youtu.be/PBzbCbM9ziE I agree I only use one card as well (debit). Although some like to get points and discounts using a credit card but I choose to forego ...

Re: Grand Prix of Argentina

What a crazy chain of events and upset that was! Marquez stalls out at the gate, push starts his bike and gets back on position just in time but later ruled a 'ride thru' penalty that puts him back to 16th place. His Resole teammate goes off in a wet turn then we watch Marquez ride like a crazed id...

Re: It's Electric!

Who owns the batteries? How do you keep someone from ditching a damaged battery and taking a good one? Hot swapping batteries hs only ever been considered in the context of a set of manufacturer owned batteries that the users lease by contract. Yup, that's kinda how it's supposed to work. You lease...

Re: New Forza 300 2018 is coming!

I would counsel against. Early adopters get to be Honda's unpaid road testers. I had one of the first of the previous model Forza 300 and it was beset with numerous niggly problems. My advice would be to wait 18 months to two years before buying one. But if you want a 300 scoot for the start of the ...

Re: New Forza 300 2018 is coming!

I'm pretty sold on the new Forza 300. Registered my interest with Dobles Honda and hoping to test ride one as soon as they become available. I'll hang on to my present Chinese auto until then, but if it's as good as I think it will be, I'll be buying one of the first ones in the UK. 8) https://www.d...
