Re: My exhaust is rusty. Ideas?
Take it off and have it ceramic coated. Permanent finish.

Perhaps Motorcycle Superstore has an incorrect advert. But after some research, I believe you are correct.

Re: Correct Oil for PCX?
I use Shell Rotella T5 in 10w-30. It carries an API rating of SM, which exceeds the requirements of the factory specified SJ requirement in my owner's manual). I just bought a gallon for $13.59 plus tax that came with a $5.00 mail in rebate. Win, Win!!! The "MB" Jaso rating is, well, the J...

Re: pirelli diablo or michelin tires
My bike has nearly 4K miles now. The stock rear tire is wearing, but not yet worn out. The front tire is still in very good condition. I bought a City Grip rear tire to have on hand when the time comes to replace the rear tire. I chose the Michelin because, like the front stock tire, it is bias ply....

Re: Dr pulley rollers
Last night after work, I installed 13 gram sliders in my 2013 PCX150. Why: Two reasons. First, I bought the bike used with 3000 miles on it. It has had a Judder/shudder taking off when cold, or after sitting a while until it warms up and I have ridden it a few miles. I wanted to take a peek at the C...

Re: Cbr 250 vs BBK Pcx
When I was 15, I got a Honda 90. Not a Super 90 overhead cam engine, but a 1965 C200 pushrod engine 90. Made 4.9 HP, which was just under the 5.0 HP limit a 15 year old could ride. The speed limit back then was 70-75 MPH. I didn't get run over riding it. I got passed a lot because it wouldn't go ove...

Re: Seats from Thailand
The cover is not a cure-all, but it does it's job of making a nice looking seat after removing the hump. And you get some more unobstructed room. The "Taiwan" seats are stock set pans, modified to remove the risers the old hump bolted to, then recovered. I am gathering the stuff to do a ma...

Re: Seats from Thailand
Cover came from a company that specializes in scooter seat covers. It is called Cheeky Seats. They are in Pennsylvania. You place the order, they call you to make sure it is what you want, then make it to order. Very good people. It came with a hand written thank you note! If you get one, slip it on...

Re: Seats from Thailand
I got the new seat cover in today. It took maybe 5 minutes to unbolt the "hump" and put on the cover. It stretches over the stock cover, has a Velcro strap underneath and a drawstring. It could not be any easier to install. It is actually quite nice. I may leave the risers alone, they don'...

Re: PCX Windscreen list
I just got a new Puig touring screen. Bought it from MonsterParts. Turns out Puig has a warehouse in Orlando, and they had it shipped direct. Got it in two days from order. Out freakin standing!
I will fit it tomorrow and see how it goes. Dark tint on a black scoot, should look good too.

I recently finished up the work on my 2006 Ninja 250. Front fork assembly, tapered neck bearings, 17" wheels, brakes, etc, from a GSX 600. Billet handlebars, Russell dual braided brake lines, remote brake master cylinder, new windscreen, new Michelin Street Radial tires, chopped seat rail. Hand...

Re: PCX 150 speed increase options
I "graduated" up from an Elite110 I bought new. I loved that little bugger, but it just didn't quite have what it took to cruise along at 55+. I know "fast" inside and out. There are many stories to go along with my screen name. I picked up my PCX 150 last Wednesday. Since I got ...

Re: Seats from Thailand
Actually, I ordered the cover from a company called "Cheeky Seats". It will be Faux leather with red stitching, minus the "hump". I ordered it Sunday on line. Got a communication from the owner yesterday to verify the details. She made the cover, and it is on the way to me, compl...

Re: Seats from Thailand
Hi, new guy here. I just got a 2013 PCX 150, and am having the seat blues too. My plan is a new cover, with the risers for the hump cut down and replaced with flat pieces of ABS glued in place, with the cavities from the old risers fitted with foam. I will see how it works out. If good, I will post ...
