Re: weather in Britain

I saw a commercial for Guiness Black Lager, at least I think it was lager, I may be wrong about that. Guiness has always been one of my favorites. Boddingtons as well though I don't know if that's considered a good beer where it's brewed.

I think ony the USA version has the parking brake.[/quote]
I have the US version with the so-called parking brake. I'll be talking to the dealer about it because it doesn't seem to do anything. Anybody experience this?

Re: Other riders

Our dealer has sold a lot of them too, but I don't see them. Sadly some people buy them with good intentions & never ride them. As much as my wife & I have ridden ours in the past few weeks, we're advertising them quite well. Sadly I'm one of those who bought one and seldom ride it. Mostly ...

Man, you've got one rusty scooter. many miles in bad weather I suppose. How old is yours and how many miles have you racked up? No offense, nothing you can do about it. Thanks for the lesson, appreciate all the help on this forum.

Bike Maintenance

I'm an old guy and I've either driven cars or bicycles in my lifetime. My first experience with a scooter or motorcycle has been with the Honda PCX that I recently purchased. I'm on this forum almost every day reading all the new posts as well as some of the more interesting older ones. I've noticed...

Re: Riding Tips

Ignoring stone throwing, crucifying members of this forum, I just wanted to add that the world of counter steering was opened to me by a Police rider during a Met Police bike safe day. It made a world of difference to me, I am more confident in corners, safer at slow filtering speeds and I DO use i...

Re: Free OEM Windshield

Gave it to a local guy who just dumped his PCX. The corner of his windshield snapped when it hit the curb. He parked in a bad spot and when he came out it was on it's side. He was happy to get it and now is looking for body parts to replace what got scratched and dented. The scoot still works but ne...

Re: Windscreen - Ermax vs. Givi?

it depends on how tall you are. i have had both the GIVI D322ST and the Ermax +25. a am 5ft 8in tall. they are both very nice windscreens. after having the givi for awhile i wished that i had gotten something just a bit taller. then i my bike fell over and the windscreen shattered when it hit my ca...

Re: Europe trip video

Finally got round to making a video of my trip round Europe last year. The pcx is very capable of long trips and i had the adventure of my life, apart from France...France was mostly shit. http://youtu.be/NY-ehcVWjNE This July i'm looking into doing the south coast from Brighton to Land's End, then...

Re: I feel naked

The dealer I use still stamps the warranty book. Im just trying to keep my costs down but not saying everyone should be doing it. But I think its crazy I got the PCX as a cheap commuter and then to be gouged with big and frequent service costs. Next bike I get I will be considering service interval...

Re: Video: Emergency Mid-Corner Braking on a PCX

He did manage to stress the most important thing though--straighten the bike up first before braking. That is the way we practiced this exercise during the MSF course. My brakes seem to work best when I apply them both evenly while gradually increasing grip pressure. That will stop me PDQ. Don I ag...

Re: New Windscreen

From the front, look up the slot between the fairing and the existing screen, there are two screws. Take these out and the screen surround piece will pop off. You will then have access to the four bolts holding the screen on. Whole job takes less than ten minutes. Just looked through the windshield...

New Windscreen

Just ordered the Givi D322 windscreen from Amazon. They say it's shipping today and will be here Tues or Wed next week. Now I have to research this site to see what I have to do to install it. What I've seen so far has looked very easy. Also, was telling a neighbor I was getting a scooter and when h...

That sucks big time. Just when you think you have a small problem resolved some jackass comes along and ruins your day. I would be thoroughly pissed off if that happened to mine.

Re: MSF Safety Course

All Right! My 16 year old daughter and I just passed the MSF course together. Now my sweet little girl is going to want the keys to the PCX for her own private rides! What was I thinking? We had a class of 11, and all 9 of the people whose first language is English passed. One man was born in Vietn...
