Re: Opinions about aftermarket floor plates
Say, Glen, where'd that seat cover come from? Any full pix? To the topic, I'm a fan of rubber as well. The metal doesn't do anything for me. The roads where I am require getting off the seat fairly often (like an equestrian) and the rubber has good grip for me at all times.

Re: Humpty: De-humped stylishly.
Thanks! Yes, it's "marine vinyl". I just know it as "heavy vinyl" from years past. The seat closure is unaffected. The cover uses a "rip-cord" sewn into the edge to tension or cinch it to the seat. On the left side block, it was laying over the edge and getting pinched ...

Humpty: De-humped stylishly.
Yet another thread about the "hump" and what to do about it. I stumbled across a small company in Pennsylvania run by a charming woman who makes(to order) seat covers for many (if not any) scooters. Aptly named "Cheeky Seats" (cheekyseatsdotcom). After talking with Suzy, I went w...

Wow, very nice!
Does that exhaust have a catalyst brick inside or does the bike now emit "aromatically"?

Re: Hey Honda? Essential service should be EASY!
I noted the darker color of the fluid coming out of the caliper than I saw in the reservoir when I bled them. I found the top panel available, new in color, for the princely sum of $17.17 US. It was shipped today so I should see it next week. I'm leaning toward opening a hole just larger than the re...

Re: PCX and SMAX Scootout
Interesting they gave the Smax the (slightly) higher score. The list of pro's and con's at the bottom make the PCX look a bit better to me. I didn't know they made use of the key shutter mandatory for 2015 and that they also they took the top speed down 7mph. I'll keep my 2013 quite a while longer. ...

Re: Scooter sales in the USA going down fast
Any sales figure for least year and this year, running? Seems I see scooters all over this year, more than ever, really. I downsized from an R75 and haven't looked back, except with great memories. Scooters to me, are all the fun without the hassle.

Re: Where did my oil go?
There are only a couple ways oil can leave a motor: Leaking through a seal. etc. or out the exhaust (coming up past the rings or through the pcv/breather system, maybe valve guides)(there is a remote possibility it can be going into the cooling system. but that won't stay hidden long). If you find n...

Yeah, you can pull/push fluid out that lower nipple, same as the front. It has a separate reservoir and MC from the front(right lever), though.

Re: Hey Honda? Essential service should be EASY!
Yeah, it's two years old, so the brakes would ordinarily be flushed (plus, the fluid was fairly dark). The last time I let that job go for a few years, I wound up with sticky pistons and a ton of white muck to clean from the caliper on the rebuild (on a Yamaha). Here, in Michigan we get high humidit...

Hey Honda? Essential service should be EASY!
Hi y'all, nice place ya got here! I lately downsized from an R75 Beemer. I'm old, now and I still like to ride but, I just don't want the work of the whole "big-bike" experience, anymore. I picked up a '13 PCX 150. Very nice in a lot of ways, chief among them the sheer ease of operation. I...
