Re: How to reduce your coronavirus infection risk
Signed up last week on-line - and received the first of the 2 Moderna vaccines today. It has been a long year - but maybe.... "Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning." I think Bob Dylan said that Fish Winston Churchil...

Re: How to reduce your coronavirus infection risk
For general public use any face covering is better than no covering. That's correct. That's why I applied Gorilla Glue to the edges of my mask ..... there's just no way I ever- ever- ever want to be without it and those flimsy straps can break at the most opportune time. Plus, it works great as a w...

Re: Making the rear brake pads last???
I was watching a NASCAR race on TV and and announcer said how silly it was when a Crew Chief radio'd his driver to tell him to "start conserving fuel". The announcer commented how a driver couldn't really do that without getting passed by everyone. Jeff Gordon was a new commentator on the ...

Replace it (the tire, not the repair).

Re: 23°F on the Liberty150i
A few years ago I landed one of my Radio Control Airplanes on a seriously cold day and the canopy shattered. I don't know what it was made of but after replacing it I don't fly when its that cold anymore. I guess the composites and plastics in our scooter are of better material. I wonder what the co...

Re: Performance Spark Plug
Thanks for the heads up on that !Actually, NGK says not to use anti seize on their spark plugs. The finish on the new plug prevents seizing, and any substance added to the threads will invalidate correct torque settings - increasing the possibility of over tightening and stripping.

Re: Performance Spark Plug
Not changed my spark plug nor made any attempt to get it out - now 6+ years on and near mid 20k miles guess I should check. tbh, a bit worried it won't budge. Running fine and starting 1st time on stock plug - no need for after-market 'promise you the world' parts. Still getting 130mpg+ Just leave ...

Re: Performance Spark Plug
That's interesting to hear 2t oil made head temps go up but that does makes total sense. Same volume going into the chamber but less parts of gasoline. Yep - time to get a 2 stroke PX150 Vespa and start playing with fuel mix, oil mix, pipes, ignition & etc. To the rider - the engine at 50 mph s...

Re: Performance Spark Plug
I donno about the idea that a cooler plug with cure a lean running situation. Whenever I changed the exhaust on my 150 Vespa (Stella), I first installed a CHT and baselined head temps at various running situations, then rejetted after the exhaust change to mimic the original temps. Same thing when I...

Re: I put the oil filter screen in backwards - What should I
I wouldn’t be concerned it’s just a screen anyway not a real filter and forum members have basically never found anything in it except at its first cleaning. Just get a new one and replace it at your next oil change. I’ve not checked mine since that first oil change. Anyways - Be careful not to over...

Re: Best Oil to use
I have and always ran all my scooters on Mobile 1. 5w-20 changed every 1k miles like a religion. Im in so cal so its rarely ever over 100 degree's. If I rode in a hotter climate i would run 10w-30. Well it's only a quart - so there's no downside & your engine says "thank you". No way ...

Did you ever figure this out, mine does this too. Please clarify your bike's symptoms. The original poster's description did not clarify what "turn over" meant. Does "not turn over" mean the starter doesn't activate, or does the starter engage but not crank over the engine, or d...

Check the valve. Take off the cap and put spit or water around the inner stem & look for bubbles as you wobble it. If no bubbles, put some more spit or water around where the stem seats on the rim. Put your head down close to it and watch/ listen ..... again as you wobble it side to side. Obvio...
