Re: Oil Change Light

It takes me 5 minutes to do an oil change, that is, not even an hour total in 2 yrs riding the scoot.
Not quite the Quickee Lube fulltime job, mind you.

This engine will last forever, most probably.

Re: Oil Change Light

The last 2 times I have tried resetting the clock (after removing the battery for a reason or another), I have instead by accident reset the darn oil-change light. Now at 24,000 km, and have yet to see the idiot one come On... I was beginning to think something was wrong with the printed board (mete...

Re: hi people I'm new pcx 2016 just cut off

Fault code #12 refers to INJECTOR, on both Hondas I own ( Giorno + Forza ). - ECU can't diagnose a fuel pump problem. - CKP problem may or may not have a code #, depending on year/model. If not, shop manual should indicate resistance/Vac output specs. You need a shop manual, or a competent dealer...

Re: hi people I'm new pcx 2016 just cut off

UPDATE If it has the Stop/Start system, its Crank Pos. Sensor is one complicated, multi-wire gimmick, much more sophisticated in operation (just had a look at the corresponding diagram, available online by googling 'pcx 125 wiring diagram'. Looks like this thing can't be tested without a factory sho...

Re: hi people I'm new pcx 2016 just cut off

Like other FI Hondas, it should have a Crank Position Sensor (Forza's is 110 ohms, 1.6 Vac @ cranking speed, easy to check with a multitester). They're all +/- built the same, so should have similar specs. With this sensor defective, there's no spark, no fuel injection (yet it may work for a few sec...

Re: headset adjustment

Happy that it handles good, but 68K without steering adjust/lube beats me. Well...another testimony of Honda typical quality, isn't it... Then having that done by the dealer will probably cost an arm+leg, with little chance of it beeing done right ...and things getting worse by the day. So hurry up,...

Re: headset adjustment

So I know what to look out for, was this a manufacturing problem or a wear problem? Dave, you have inherited a car lot crashed, hastily rebuilt mess of a scooter. Stop pretending it has 'manufacturing defects'. Then you should have checked/adjusted that steering WAY before 60K, poor you. Now that i...

Oops...

I'd sure like to have a look at those crowfoot spanners. Try as I can, no way I could find a 32mm octogonal one. Did you use an equivalent, non metric, 12 pans one?

Thanks for all of your support guys, excellent intro to the forum as a new forza owner and member. Re: headset adjustment

First, removing the stem locknut (55lbs torque) requires a very deep special socket, 32mm octogonal, unless there's an equivalent replacement available. Under that is the adjuster nut itself (initially torqued 15 lbs, then loosened, then finally torqued 2lbs, no more). Again, a costly special tool a...

Re: changing the belt on a forza 300

The Driven's bigger hex nut is 41mm large (1 5/8" fits), with recommended torque about 55ft-lb (I say 'around' 55 because I use a small impact gun everywhere, no torque wrench). If you wish to use one, ProMotion tool 08-0270 fits perfectly on both clutches as a holder. It is important to open t...

Re: Headlights. replaced bulbs - stopped working

Stock canadian model has 35/35w bulbs, protected by fuse G (10A), fusebox B (under the right glove cover as said above). So stock demand is 2x35 =70w/12v = 5.8 Amps. No way that fuse could stand 2x60= 120w/12v=10 Amps for long. There is no headlight relay. I have no idea how UK's Pass system is wire...

Re: Engine management light flashing. \ECU reset

I went down and checked with the Metro and it too will 'blink' the fault codes using the MIL light, not show a code number on the digital display (like many other bikes do). So forget about the digital display, and just count the MIL (engine light) blinks. MODERATOR, PLEAAASE : EDIT function is usel...

Re: Engine management light flashing. \ECU reset

Update: if similar to the Forza, yours will 'blink' the codes:

Long 'blinks' count for 10. Short 'blinks' count for 1. Examples : 8 short blinks=8= TPS ; 2 long ones followed by 1 short=21= O2 sensor. Etc.
