Re: Some people just don't care
Hey Mel, Today I saw worse than that - a guy had parked his utility truck in the middle of two occupied disabled car spaces over the line - essentially blocking their driver's and passenger side doors accordingly. As I was trying to even comprehend how or why he did such a thing, he got in his ute a...

Re: Chicaboo's BBK kit and performance mods.
Talk about a full plate eh? Well, that's why I quit my job. My health has been going downhill the last 6 months as I didn't have time to look after me anymore. Now, Mondays are my days. I go out for a nice drive and take photos so I have a chance to get away from it all and relax for a bit. So, I g...

Re: Chicaboo's BBK kit and performance mods.
Thanks gang. I don't know if I lack confidence in myself or the scoot? But I'm fine on my bicycles, but that's entirely different... Anyhow, after months of mulling it over, I thought I would throw the result to chance by letting insurance worry about it for me. They've already written off my helmet...

Re: Chicaboo's BBK kit and performance mods.
Hey kids, I thought I might as well update you all in this thread, since it was the last one I was active in. Today the scooter went away to the assessment centre so that insurance can decide what to do with it. If they fix it - whatever - it will eventually get finished. If they write it off, I do ...

The Kymco Spade is a good cheap alternative to the Grom in the US:

Re: Chicaboo's BBK kit and performance mods.
Hey Chicaboo, Hope you've healed up good since May. How things are going with you and the scoot? Hey Oya, It took about 8 weeks for the ribs and soft tissues to be fully healed and 10 weeks for my spine to sort itself out. I've only ridden the scoot once since the accident, and every right-hand ben...

Re: Why do I get better MPG when it is hot?
Native metric users don't use fractions, as the system is based around 10s.
Liken it to money. You don't say you have a $1,1/5. You have a $1.20. It's just not cricket, otherwise.
I've noticed grains used on the gun channels on YouTube. I had never heard of grains before that.

There's two things the French did very well: Système international d'unités ...and radiation.
There's no fractions of mm's. Just beautiful harmonious decimal units based on 10/100/1000.
Goodbye, bushels and furlongs. I guess you can still uses inches to measure your dick, dunno.

Re: Why do I get better MPG when it is hot?
I also use km/l, stopped using mpg when I discovered it showed 'low' US numbers hahaha. As a member of the Commonwealth, did Canadia use British miles before your forceful conversion to the metric system? I find it strange you guys still use some imperial, say for food and drink, etc... Our governm...

Re: Why do I get better MPG when it is hot?
This is turning to METAPHYSICS, or what! The IAT, ECT, TPS & MAP sensors all do their jobs well regardless of the environmental conditions, but the root cause for higher fuel consumption on colder days is increased air density requiring more fuel. I've not ever seen one beyond standard cold sta...

Re: New PCX owner here in Michigan
I've got a modded CBR125R 31mm throttle body, 31mm intake manifold, CBR150R injector with an upgraded intake snorkel to the airbox, and it makes a BIG difference. I had to add a Dobek EJK interceptor on the injector to dial down the injector all the way to get a good fuel mixture. Otherwise I would'...

Colder air is denser and requires more fuel to burn stoich.
