Re: Does size matter - or more to it?
Slightly OT from the reasons for the OP, but I'm currently dedicated to singing the praises of the SH300i. I've had a 110 Vision, which was incredibly cheap to run and good for pottering, but a nightmare on the motorway. I've had a PX125, which is the proper scooter, but again it was slow and not th...

You Merkans don't know what you're missing, not having the Sh300i over there.

What?. . .No MARMITE? OMG. Marmite.jpg Smile and say "Yeast Burger".   Yum! Just bought some here in Florida last week. I love it spread lightly on toast with scrambled eggs on top. Grew up in Bristol eating it that way. Also, Marmite 'fingers' to dip in your soft b...

Prune butter?? Sounds like something that competition cyclists apply to prevent chafing.

Re: Best British import since muffins
Well, guess what Lilly just added to the Tesco shopping list. These are great, but very different to the 'English muffins' that McDonalds do. What exactly do you Americans expect when you order and 'English muffin'? They were great yes, but I swear I could feel my waistline expanding whilst e...

Re: Best British import since muffins
This is my favorite place to go for an excellent breakfast on my side of the pond. Been going there for years on vacations or day trips. Used to be frequented by locals and a few tourists who were "in the know". But now it can get lined up there out the door as soon as the good weather ar...

Rusty springs - warranty claim?
My SH300 is 12 months old. In the picture you can see where the spring movement has worn the black paint off, and the exposed metal has rusted.
Would you say this is wear and tear or would you ask for a warranty replacement?

Re: legs cover
The reason I got mine was that I only had a 5 minute commute to work and then was often pottering around visiting people for work, and it's easier than taking gear on and off all the time.gn2 wrote:Just get some decent riding gear.

Re: 387,460 miles
I once drove a Peugeot courier van that had over 300,000 miles on. I don't like Peugeot because French cars feel rattly and light and they're not supposed to be reliable. But this one had done over 300,000 miles.

I've got the Termoscud for my Sh300i. They keep you warm and dry. I couldn't get the towel of mine to stop pooling water in the rain. The SH one has a hole with a flap to reach the ignition, and a draught gets in through it. There easy to fit but you have to be careful that the straps don't rub on y...

Re: iPhone X
HA! the iphoneX rocked record sales and put the naysayers in their place. Apple stock had dipped over negative press trying to say no one liked the new features on iphone 10 but OH yea they are sooooooo FAKE! Android's actually the one taking it in the shorts all along and it was their sales trendi...

Nowt wrong with a proper Vespa. Had a PX125 years ago. They're holding their value over here now, so I'll have another one in the not too distant.

Re: Where is the nearest gas station?
The 300 Forza fuel gauge is abysmal. It goes from ok to empty way before it needs to, so you have no idea of what you have left. The only reliable way to keep safe is to reset the trip every time you fill up.

Android had facial recognition, and knew when you were looking at the screen, a number of years ago. Sure! If you're willing to ignore the warning on android that face lock is even less secure than it's pattern lock  Lots of chat about the differences on YT. I don't use it. It's an unnecessary...
