Re: Not trying to Ruffle feathers, but...
I enjoy this forum too. This site is a cut above the rest indeed, but lets face it, the PCX has been around for a couple years and I tend to get writers block about what to talk about when it comes to the PCX or motorbikes in general. If Honda would continue to improve upon the PCX with new and exci...

And that will add continued cost, making it easier just to get a 150 PCX instead.

Re: strange vibrations
I guess so many new threads popped up that I never noticed maddiedog replied to this thread in the first place. Anyways, my diagnosis was exactly the issue with the variator, namely the piece o' shit J Costa variator. The slider ball things (?) inside the variator literally fused inside the face pla...

Wow I haven't seen this thread in a long time since I fell off my PCX earlier in the year. The results of the variator test are here.

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
If these various items cost $500 in total for the Yumanashi parts, how much would the tools and labor ultimately be to handle all of this? I thought about going further than the J Costa variator on my PCX125 but it came out that J Costa wants too much money to possibly have next to no gain. There is...

strange vibrations
Hello everybody! Over the weekend my PCX125 starting doing something strange. It would act like it's in gear, wanting to go up to 15mph despite no throttle, also with a strange rattling and noise from the belt/variator area. I (finally!) purchased a nice used Dewalt impact wrench and changed the bel...

Re: Mom allows "scooter"
Well, if you are under the age of consent for your area OR over-age but pretty much financially dependent on your parents then...enjoy the PCX 150. On a serious note, the 150 should do about 65mph top speed until the belt starts wearing down. This should be able to do short freeway driving. I ...

I'm at around 9500 mile mark now. I've had the PCX around 11 months now.

Re: Tire choice source in the US
Since my fall a few months ago I don't have the confidence to lean aggressively either in wet weather, even with my recent new tires. Honda OEMs were on major backorder. I can't remember the brand the dealership got me. They do seem to be quite decent though.

Re: New PCX top speed???
Here in the USA the federal government is just now getting around to mandating higher fuel economy standards, much to big oil's dismay (as well as the politicians in their pockets). So 50mpg for us is a dream only realized by uber expensive economy cars, one example known as the Prius.

Re: New PCX top speed???
@ Sendler The Silverwing is quite heavy. Pray you don't drop it or have to do an abrupt stop. It gets about 50mpg which is not too bag given that it is a 600, and that the Burgman 650 is worse on weight and fuel economy. All told, it is a blast to ride about and not have to worry about keeping up wi...

Re: New PCX top speed???
If anyone claims that there PCX can go xx number of mph/kph per hour with xx mods, please post video. Ultimately, this more or less led to the nasty arguments because Corsport never coughed up a video of their PCX125 going 69mph a year ago that they claimed to be the gospel, plus controversy about t...

Re: made the move... gotta get the info rolling in here tho.
id say 1500 would get it right for sure. I know most people don't have 1500 to throw away, but then again, most people don't work 72-84 hour work weeks either. $1500 is literally 50% of what I paid for my used Silverwing I got a few weeks ago! And I don't have to worry about modding anything, it ju...

If you are in the USA then these people have a low price panel to replace the cracked one.
The downside is they are not the fastest in the world.

If you ride something called the "Superdink" here in the USA you will be laughed at. Heck, even the "People" scooter makes no sense to me. Agility is a good name though. So is Downtown.

Re: Burgman 650 rider adds a "new" PCX to the stable
What I think is sad is that a Honda 125 performs essentially at the level of a Chinese 250. And the Chinese 250's cost just as much! The exception for the Chinese being poor service available and pretty much no warranty.

Re: Burgman 650 rider adds a "new" PCX to the stable
Greeting! I too live in Florida, Tampa more specifically. I agree if you can get a big discount on the PCX125 you shoould be fine, since you have the Burgman (any cc Burgman :D ) I just got a used 2004 Silverwing to supplement the power needs for my kind of work traveling as a nurse all day. The top...
