Re: Gone to the dark side
I had a period of 5 years where I commuted 70 miles per day and then another 2 at 80 miles per day. Done on a variety of 2 and 3 wheelers including Triumph Speedmaster 900, Kawasaki Z650, Shadow 1100 and Metro engined trike. Probably cover about 100 miles per week now and costs me pennies on the PCX!

Re: Advice for anti theft
I bought one of these for the PCX as none of the disc locks that I had, fitted the small disc! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iaDubVGnFg I am pretty pleased with it, although I also have fully comp insurance! Most scooters around here get stolen by teenagers to ride into the ground and then leave ...

Re: New Colors and a New Yamaha Competitor for the PCX
Not keen on the mixed colour schemes. I bought my PCX after seeing them in Thailand and deciding that it made more sense than my 1100 cruiser for day to day work. If I had seen the new colours I might have chosen something else! I understand the 'be seen, be safe' mantra, however I see car drivers p...

Re: Kevlar Jeans - any good?
I have used armoured kevlar jeans for the last 10 years or so. Had a spill on my Triumph 900 a few years back and they protected me fine.
Re: Helmet
I have used a Roof Boxer for years (not the same one!) because I like to have the choice of full or open face. Having said that I ride it as an open face 95% of the time, especially on the PCX, where use is around city. http://static.webshopapp.com/shops/006930/files/023268479/roof-boxer-v8-matt-bla...

Re: New PCX owner
Hi all. I have had my PCX 125 for just over two weeks a brand new 2016 model. Hi Hax, Small and light is so much fun ! More relaxing and while not to be taken lightly, much less chance of getting hurt. If you drop a small bike, usually a non event :D One question, why get the PCX125 ? I would defin...

Re: New PCX owner
Thanks for the welcome. I will try the Forza before buying, although at 5' 6" I will probably be okay size wise? Options at the moment are keep my Shadow 11 or sell to buy Forza or Triumph 900 Thunderbird! Not much difference?! I definitely understand the 'less is more' idea homie, having come ...

Re: rideing the pcx in the rain?
I prefer riding the PCX in the wet to my big cruiser. Didn't care when I was younger and invincible and would ride in pretty much anything except snow. I have ridden large motorcycles in strong winds and over the course of two years commuting 80 miles per day I did learn to cope with this, as much a...

Re: Riding in Bangkok (vid)
Thailand is one of my favourite places in the world and partly why I am riding a PCX now.

New PCX owner
Hi all. I have had my PCX 125 for just over two weeks a brand new 2016 model. Not sure if I am a typical convert, having ridden large capacity motorcycles for the last twenty seven years or so and pretty much ignoring scooters?! Two years ago I was in Thailand and the PCX was the scooter that I like...
