Ditch the Expense of Car/Truck/SUV Ownership and . . ..
So you ask yourself one day . . . Can I survive and live happily ever after without an automobile, truck, or SUV? I think the answer is a big fat "YES!!!" (if you are allowed and I'll leave it there . . . not all minds think alike). You may continue to wonder why you shell out significant ...

Cold Sunny Day for a Ride
A few pics from a ride around the waterfront in town today. You can see the "Ice" warning on the display. Here a small pond was created from the recent heavy rains and melted snow. Frozen over now. It's commonly a wet area since the elevation is almost at sea level. 100_8332a.jpg 100_8333a...

Arrogance?? I forgot to mention that . . .. They can be egotistical too. Perhaps something they learned from humans while being exploited to protect grain supplies from pests. I dunno what it is but it's almost like they are programmed to explore every time a door is opened. Curious critters...

Cats in general are amazing examples of what we call "survival of the fittest".
It's like they have a "how to" computer program running in their brains from birth.

Re: Front flat tyre - only a few months old
I usually use a small mix of dishwater detergent and water. If there's no bubbles coming out of the valve area with the tire inflated then you'll have to start looking along the tread. Roofing nails are the worst IMHO. The thing is the head can get worn off and then just the shank of the nail remain...

Re: Goodbye Forza 300 and Welcome NC750D Integra.
Yesterday I watched some great YouTube videos about the development of the Spitfire and it's various improvements from the early days until the end of the war. Eventually the 300 plus MPH speeds would be improved to do over 400 MPH to be able to spar with the Focke-Wulf 190. That said the designer, ...

Re: Unretired from retiring from motorcycles
Some great points are being brought up on this thread . . .. :geek: I have taken my XMax 300 on highways with 65 MPH speed limits and it would handle it with power to spare. I am extremely happy to have it and would "buy again". The problem is that the vehicular traffic is moving along clo...

Re: did you get to see the christmas Star?
I think I saw it but I'm not sure. I looked around but what I did see was more to the South than the Southwest . . . but definitely Southwest in general terms. The moon was also shining bright to the right of it as I observed in early evening on Monday. I should have grabbed my telescope . . .. What...

Expecting a little precipitation today but nothing serious. Warming trend forecast towards Christmas Day. Still a lot of snow to melt. No riding until the roads are safer/drier. Spring and Summer can't get here quick enough. Cue the picnic munchies once again for old time sake . . .. 100_7055a...
