Re: Steering stem bearing and races replacement
Update: The stem got a bit loose so i had to retighten it. i put some blue loctite on threads this time. I had to re-open everything, this time i worked from the headlight backwards removing completely the speedo instrument panel ( easy). The major pain somewhere is separating the top of central pla...

Re: Hi everyone... NCY Variator kit?
I wish we could find the NCY in Europe but up to now no luck. Importing from the states for ex would cost 50% of the retail price in taxes and duties here in belgium - (had the joke with a 50 USD order from partzilla which was taxed 25 Eur) - Geez. I had the Malossi Multivar but I'm not too fan of t...

I found out that removing the spark plug while on side stand is way easier that on center stand. try it!

Re: Strange sound from the vario
You are right Mel, i can definitely say the bearings in the driven were out, it's a lot more silent now, very easy to notice when freewheeling engine off. I have heard lots of comments saying failure was due because there was not enough grease from start, well my late December 2014 LED PCX had plent...

Re: Strange sound from the vario
Asked my mech to replace the driven face assembly since i had the replacement spare handy (Had quite a bit of noise from transmission) .Guy left me the old parts so i inspected them. The old driven face from late december 2014 (led) had actually quite a lot of black grease left in it- Much more than...

Re: 2013 PCX 150 Cam Chain Tensioner Replacement
Forgot to mention that i have led version, you can just unscrew (2 bolts) the manifold right at the injector and then rubber intake from airbox if you manage to unscrew the small collar screw- I could'nt. So i just moved the whole assembly just out of the way enough. Could'nt remove the damn electri...

Re: 2013 PCX 150 Cam Chain Tensioner Replacement
Hi, My bike is 21,000 Kms. I did this afternoon- turned out my tensioner was ok so i did not replace it. I was able to unscrew the bloddy center screw with my biggest JIS scredriver. Thanks Oyabun for the tip. I shocked the screw with a few short hammer strokes then pushing down like an idiot i turn...

Re: 2013 PCX 150 Cam Chain Tensioner Replacement
Hi thanks a lot for this Yesterday i thought the car besides me was making a strange noise. After a while i realised it was me! o_O I though of something on the transmission side but it's definetely coming from where the water radiator is, i can even feel the rattling a bit in the exhaust. Bike is s...

More details about new 2018 pcx: under the hood
This video shows a bit what's under the hood, it's the first one i've seen with transmission removed. CVT is bigger in diameter than current led one. This is the model with rear drums that rest of the world will be getting. I've already ranted about the lack of read disc elswhere here so let's forge...

Re: Motorcycle.com article about 2019 PCX
IF "Don't worry- be happy" is what are people saying about braking in PCX i would just add: Sure...until.... you smash yourself- don't take my word for it, live it! PCX brakes aren't that bad- just not that great neither. Something in the middle then? Hmmmmm not really. V1 had bigger calip...

"Wanting a disk at the rear is just a fashion"
Yes a fashion that started in 1955.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disc_brak ... production
While i can relate with GN2 comments to maintenance, this is just fake news.

[Also for those of us who ride in the wet on salted roads for months at a time There is saying here in Belgium that goes like " if it's not raining, means that it's going to rain soon :) We've had sub 5 degrees temperatures for about 4 months this winter- snow, salt...ice! I ride in any weathe...

Too much trouble. People have been asking since 2011; good news is that's it's available now, bad one is: not in your country, if that country is not indonesia. Go figure.superandyp wrote:I wonder if anyone has retrofitted a rear disk brake. Hmmm

Re: Motorcycle.com article about 2019 PCX
Well, yes of course. Once the wheel is off you can change tyres or service rear brake. Removing swingarm is not a big deal per se: just three bolts. But like many things on the pcx it all adds up rather quickly. My bad mood about PCX braking might come that my dealer lent me a peugeot Satelis 125cc ...

Re: Motorcycle.com article about 2019 PCX

Re: Motorcycle.com article about 2019 PCX
I think it is time to all PCX Forums US and EU to write angry letters to Honda saying we will not settle for less than the "Indonesia" version with discs all round. I'm really pissed, and for the prices no way i would consider exchanging my current led version.

Re: Motorcycle.com article about 2019 PCX
Just rather odd to me that they didn't go ahead and put a disk on the rear. It seems to be a selling point for other brands. What?? You seem to be right from the pics in the Italian article i posted earlier. Indonesian one has disc brakes all round: vpS40sZ6P3c see 2:40. this is completely crazy!
