Re: Adding Honda or Givi trunk on my own?

After marking the center of the hole locations and drilling small pilot holes, I used a step drill to finish the holes for the Givi mounting bracket. The step drill worked perfectly to get to the proper size hole and it also deburred each hole as it was drilling. This method also allows you to do te...

C'mon Skutter, come clean. Your buddy Otis weighs 675 lbs. and that is how your 150 bested his 125.

Re: Demo'd a CTX today

Looking forward to your impressions Skuuter. I wish I could have spent more time on the CTX to play with the different shift modes and get it out on the highway. Maybe the fact that you ordered two Forzas after 114 miles on the CTX speaks volumes.

Maybe you are stretching your fuel tank out? Seriously, my milage is also improving partly because it is getting broken in and partly because my throttle control is improving. Especially on acceleration.

Yeah Tourons = Tourists. Apparently normal driving rules and laws do not apply when one is on vacation or holiday.

Re: 600 mi first service?

Picked my PCX up today after it was serviced. The cost was $159.00 and included: valve adjustment, oil change, brake inspection & adjustment, fluid level checks, wiring & light inspection. The labor charge was $150.00 for two hours. Not cheap but not too bad.

Re: 2011 PCX 125 top speed?

My 125 has touched an indicated 60 mph a couple of times but it usually tops out at about 59. That's usually fast enough for me.

Re: Demo'd a CTX today

I rode the naked version Taz. I'm 5'11" tall with a 32" inseam. Also, with the low seat and center of gravity it didn't feel like a 500 lb. bike so smaller riders and women shouldn't have any problems.

Re: How is the scooter "culture" in your area?

Along the beach areas here in Delaware and Maryland there are tons of small scoots. Unfortunately the tourons kill several bicyclists and motorcyclists every summer. Get inland a couple of miles and it is mostly motorcycles. People here on Delmarva are much more laid back than the folks on the Weste...

Yeah, I'm a novice and I only rode it for a couple of miles. You have probably spent a lot more time on it than me and can provide better input based on your experience. I'd be interested in others' impressions as well.

Demo'd a CTX today

I dropped my PCX off for service yesterday and went back to pick up today. While I was waiting, I started chatting with the owner about the Forza. He checked and said he wouldn't be getting one until the last week of August but he said he had a couple of other bikes I might be interested in seeing.....
