Re: No brake lights on Forza 300

While I am here, and on the off chance that some screwy power surge toasted the fuse AND both brake lights.... brake light bulb.jpg And the mysterious clips, which I fiddled with for at least fifteen minutes when I first met them: clips.jpg I was pretty happy with myself for figuring those clips out...

Re: No brake lights on Forza 300

I looked at the regular user manual that came with the scoot. I found actual, useful information.

Re: No brake lights on Forza 300

The description of what GN2 is describing is on page 2-12. Looks like you pull out the two screws and then finesse the tab at the back of the panel to slide it backwards, exposing the fuse box. I guess. I have not done it. Yet. They tell you how to remove the panel, but not why one would like to. I ...

Re: Idling Stop Not Working?

Thanks for the input, bigred, and welcome aboard. My US'13 does not have idle stop, but like you, can't figure out how it can be worth the added complexity when the machine already gets 100 MpUSG. My guess it is there due to specific market/government regs according to your location. Out of curiosit...

Re: Looking at a 2015 never serviced.

First service is likely to cost a bit more. My local dealer has no competition; I spent nearly $600. The first service calls for a valve check, which means a pretty complete "undressing" of the plastics. if your dealer is not pretty familiar with the PCX, there will likely be a few tabs br...

Did you add the Xmax to the stable or trade the SV650?

Oh - and congratulations!

Re: Kilometers on tires

I put one on my '16 Forza last year. I could not get a City Grip that was the right size. It feels fine and appears to be holding up well, but I am not putting that many miles on it, and I don't ride aggressively. https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=9392&p=127309&hilit=angel#p1...

Re: Battery Drained after 3 days of non use

If you could make little wires that could slip on/in side of a fuse slot, you could then use your multimeter as an ammeter to figure out fairly quickly which circuit is the issue. I have not taken the time to see if I could get meter probes directly into the fuse locations, but that would be even fa...

Re: Battery Drained after 3 days of non use

Definitely not normal. Some wire somewhere is shorting a bit. Maybe you can figure out a way to get standing currents through the various fuses - that might help with what circuit was the perp.

Re: Falling seat-seat damper.... Fixed!

Honda replaced mine with the newer, higher power unit back in 2016. I was still under warranty. It works well, even holding up my much heavier aftermarket seat. To my mind. it would be worth the $45 for the real fix. I believe that one of those spring things I linked to earlier would also work well,...

Re: Got PCX150 today was wrecked-need help

I can't begin to count how many times i have taken apart some non-working thing, found nothing apparently wrong, put it back together and... it started working. WTF? What the heck did I do? and of course, will it continue to work?

Glad you are on a positive train.

Re: Got PCX150 today was wrecked-need help

Well that is a good news/bad news thing, but much leaning toward good news IMHO. unless it blew the ECM, but that is what fuses are supposed to protect against. Knowing that holding the thought bordered on hopeless, I just went out and started the scoot using the right brake. indeed, it works just f...

Re: Got PCX150 today was wrecked-need help

I never tried the right brake for starting, but according to the first PDF I posted, the two are wired in parallel, as you have discovered by observation. Eitherr should work, and i will test that out at my earliest convenience. Assuming I can hold the thought. My guess is that the blue-green wire i...

Re: I have trouble going over 50mph, rider issue, not mechan

I think that after you get more seat time on the PCX you will become more comfortable with its stability. Yes, your chest gets a fair bit of buffeting at 50 mph and above, as does your helmet (I use a full face). As you get more comfortable, you will hopefully not feel the need for a death-grip on t...

The Admiral is a CoCoRaHS observer (https://www.cocorahs.org/). We got 1.96" of rain yesterday during two thunderstorms of maybe a half hour each. Definitely NOT a time to be scooting.

Little scoot isn't getting the miles that he did before now that I'm not working regularly. A bit sad about that, but Forza is getting some road time with the two of us aboard. Life changes - got to go with it.

I notice that you are carrying a spare tire. I expect that you are also carrying the tools you need to do a great number of repairs. Might i ask you to start a thread (in How-Tos, maybe?) of the tools that you carried and the failure/repairs you were prepared for? I can't help but think it would be ...
