Re: Replaced my spark plug.

My 2014 LED PCX is still running on the original honda specced plug - best part of 30,000 miles later no issues - starts 1st time, runs like a dream, and get real mpg of 130-140mpg. I have a spare plug, just not bothered changing it as the bike runs so well.

Re: can i use 10w-40 JASO engine oil?

I'v been using the 10w30 version of the Castrol Power Racing 4T for 7 years in both engine and final drive (comes out looking like new from the rear, yet on FB tey try and sell people £10 gear oil for these scooters!). As has been mentioned 100's of times - literally - on this forum, it does not mat...

Re: KVB Clutch Upgrade on 2019 150

Using other pads also does the same trick, although I still have not installed them as the originals still work well - any shudder and I just give it more throttle from off for a while and problem gone. It's usually due to going to gentle on the throttle for too long. I've never used full throtte st...

Biker knocked down right in front of me by idiot car driver

Hi, On the way to work this even I witnessed a biker get knocked down yards in front of me - car driver drove off! In Westminster, London, most bus lanes allow motorcycle use and this rider was in one and doing nothing wrong - and only going about 15 mph at the time. There was a car in the lhs norma...

Re: Main stand floppy

someone on a Forza drilled through and used a bolt/nut in it's place - not sure if that is ok for the pcx unless it is not entering the engine housing itself.

Re: new tires

Changed the original rear IRC at 13,500 miles and the front IRC at 18,000+ - 6+ years riding all year round on Londons pot-holed and nasty roads. Road speed 30-40 max when not in built up areas and lots of engine breaking. Now got MCG's on front and rear, can't say I notice much difference as had no...

Re: Exhaust studs stripped

Need to remove the exhaust soon to be able to knock and push through the centre stand pin - so just want to check that all bolts/nuts on the PCX except one of the wing mirror stalk bits is traditional tighten clockwise. I noticed the garage really used some force when manually tightening the manifol...

Search youtube for PCX plastics removal and things like that - there has been at least two different people show how to strip down a PCX (one was a 2017 version).

Re: How-To VIDEO: Center Stand Removal and Maintenance

I felt really tired after a bought of night shifts but thought I would tackle the centre stand before rain hits in a few days. After positioning the bike and getting prepared I then realised I would need to remove the exhaust to be able to tap the pin to push it though, so for now put the operation ...

Thanks so much for these. Wish my bike was still in decent condition like yours and many others - sad to see so must rust and crud on the underside and around the engine area.

Re: How-To VIDEO: Center Stand Removal and Maintenance

Hope to tackle this in about a weeks time when off shift. Although my stand freely raises and lowers, and the spring may no longer be strong like it used to be, I am worried I will have trouble getting it off. If so, I'll just take it to a trusty bike MOT/repair place I've used for years. Someone on...

How-To VIDEO: Center Stand Removal and Maintenance

Ok, not a PCX but the centre stand and bits are the same - and although covered previously in this forum, this video is an excellent tutorial on how to remove, properly clean and re-instant the centre stand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91Hb5AHirnQ Mine needs doing badly as it does not go up by i...

Re: Year and Fuel request :)

Use what the user manual suggests - which is not premium at all. I've been using Asda (UK Walmart) unleaded for near 7 years and although it's now %10 ethanol, I still am getting 131mpg on the meter and it's still very cold here early morning and late at night. I've had just under 130 mpg and mid 14...

Re: Tire recommendation?

Checked the front tyre again today (newly fitted about 1-2 months ago) and it had lost a fair bit again - down from 33 to 25. Filled it up - not sure why some people do not seem to lose much and my front always seems to lose several psi every few weeks.

Re: Do I need to top off brake fluid?

Usually it's not the fluid leaking but indication the front pads are nearly worn - best check them. My fluid indication went low and I found it was basically metal on metal with no friont pads left! When new ones are fitted (you can do it yourself), you need to not press and brake levers, push the p...

Re: 2020 PCX manual released

If your in the UK, you can buy original Honda parts and now service manuals for PCX / Forza from the Forza forum on FB - there's a seperate business that now links with and works with people to get original Honda parts and stuff - the Forza manual is being sold for £20 - all are original parts, not ...
