Yup, that was my scooter. The thread is http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6529
The PCXs are beautiful rides and particularly attractive to young men. I would get the insurance and take prudent precautions.

Re: Shad SH40 Cargo?
Remember that the 4kg carrying capacity of the box includes anything on the rack. Good point, especially since I've read a couple of Shad reviews that mentioned the box ripping off of its rack mount! Although, I'd imagine the box is flexible enough to remind me not to overload it? I was thinking it...

Re: It's gone
Might be time to invest in a Harley product called 'fork cuffs'. I own a pair of these and although youyou would say they were **** and he could torch it off, that hasn't happened to me yet. I have been known to lock the scoot to a bicycle rack or park bench with no ne'er-do-well activity to report...

Re: It's gone
Was it in a communal garage or outside? It is a bad feeling to come of a sunny morning on a sight like that. I feel your pain from all these many miles away. No doubt you have theft insurance. Still, it's like falling down an open manhole--I can imagine. Happily I have been able to avoid that sort ...

Re: It's gone
My cable is twice that thick and I still worry that it isn't strong enough. I have really been thinking about a chain plus a disc brake lock. It is really lousy what we have to go through to protect a little scooter. The really sad part of this whole thing is that there are still people out there w...

Re: It's gone
Thanks, Homie
I'll need another one, unless the first one miraculously returns in good condition.
And stronger anti-theft measures (I'm leaning toward some kind of exploding device, although I'll probably walk
until that temptation passes).
At least they didn't get my helmet.

For cold rain, I like to wear overgloves, like http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle- ... gloves.htm
They're cumbersome, but how much manual dexterity do you really need on a scooter
(and how much do you have anyway, once your hands get numb)?

no, no, no, no, NO! This is just not right. We cant have this! We are already borderline laughing stock out there. If you put that geriatric contraption on your bike with all its prostate cradles and scrotum pouches you will have to ban yourself. Anybody else thinking about padding up with a hemorr...

Re: how is your scooter doing in this heat?
It has been very steamy here (temps consistently over 95 F), but the PCX is handling it just fine
In fact, better than my last scooter, which was carbed and did not seem as well cooled
I topped off the coolant the other day, just in case

Re: Honda Pcx front noise
If this is the dealer that you bought it from recently,
perhaps they could do a test ride, fix it, then do another test ride.
I would try suggesting that.

Re: Left over, new, 2014 Forzas availiable
Too bad it is not closer to the western end of New York state. I wonder if dealers can move them from dealer to dealer and state to state, and what the cost would be? It probably depends on the dealer. I asked the very same question to my dealer and he firmly said no. Stated that I must come to the...
