Re: First Ride With Givi Windscreen ?
I have the tallest "riot gear" Givi windscreen. It is not great for those around 5' 7" but best for taller riders. It's helpful during days of wind chill in December but otherwise not the best during the other times of the year.

Re: PCX Insurance in USA
Geico in Tampa, FL - just under $300 year (includes $5,000 medical payments and $250 deductible comp and collision).
I was formerly with a company called U.S. Insurance Services and they were about $65 month for the same coverage.
For the same coverage Progressive wanted approximately $1000 year!!

Could have just bought a Burgman 400 with that kind of money. This puts the weird ClubPCX money draining mods to shame.

Re: Drive belt
Again, for me I started losing power around the 3500 mile mark. I guess I wasn't so lucky with my belt.

Re: Drive belt
The extra few miles per hour from J.Costa is the only thing that has kept me from going insane due to gradual loss of power starting around 3500 mile mark as this bike is used intensively for travel (as I'm actually a home health nurse nowadays). The good thing is I have a spare belt from these guys...

Would Honda be willing to finance a several years old Silverwing 600?

Is this referring to with or without the J Costa variator? Also... The belt needs to be changed 10 miles? (or 10000)

Re: Shopping for my first Scooter
How about a gently used PCX 125? The recent 150's coming out a couple months ago with MSRP barely higher than the 125 caused a drop in value to those with existing 125s.

Re: How to: Valve Adjustment for Honda PCX
Where can I find a feeler gauge? The do-it-yourself valve adjustment would save me a ton of money and make owning this bike extremely money efficient, despite the risks.

Re: Felt like selling my PCX for a while but...
I would love to sell my PCX for a Burgman but the money and credit availability simply isn't there for me. For the PCX, I find that if you do a full valve adjustment every 5000 miles that will wipe out almost all of your fuel savings compared to a small 4 cyl car. This is assuming lots of highway (s...

Re: Drive belt
Hello everyone. Long time no see. Remember my old video I posted a couple months back? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68tWyjJbHEE My PCX had already slowed to 57mph top speed (pre J Costa variator) even at the 4800 mile mark (if you look closely you can see the mileage). It seems like the belts wear...

That grey middle road between 250cc and 400cc, nicely covered by competitors such as the Suzuki Burgman and Kymco Downtown 300. Or...just bring back the Reflex.

Re: first service cost
My first service for my former Elite 110 and my PCX 125 were around $220. About $50 for oil change (which I just learned is super easy to do yourself) and valves which are around $170. Of course, add sales tax.

Re: About to buy a pcx 150 - couple questions
That's what I have been doing regularly to save fuel and balance out the fact I ride almost full throttle with all the traveling I do. The bike starts instantly w/o problems. For those of us in the USA that don't get idle stop, you can still kill the engine and restart manually every stop. The PCX's...

Re: Thinking of trading an Elite 110 too a Pcx
As someone who did trade an Elite 110 for a PCX 125 I can add my 0.02. My top speed for the Elite was 53 mph but with gradual belt wear top speed went down to 48 mph. The PCX had the samed problem for me as was in an earlier thread I made a couple months ago. I started at around 61 mph top speed but...

Re: About to buy a pcx 150 - couple questions
The PCX is a good scooter. Looks just like a mini Silverwing. I have received numerous compliments from strangers regarding the styling of the scooter. It doesn't have that cheap look that the Chinese 49cc bikes have when you see them crawling along at 35mph in a 45mph zone. I would highly recommend...

Re: Honda covered my towing today
I ordered the belt myself from the powersportsplus.com website I mentioned awhile back. I have no idea when the dealer is getting the parts from their source. The parts still haven't arrived yet. At least whatever lubing they did to my ignition switch in the meantime has worked, since they key has b...

Re: Honda covered my towing today
I just got my bike back today. The ignition assembly is on major backorder, just like all the other Honda PCX parts it seems. Heck, my belt I ordered just arrived to me after 2 months! So the good folks at the powersports dealership were able to lube the ignition switch good enough as a temporary me...

Looks like the both owners corrected their prices on their ads already.
