That sounds reasonable for U.S.rates .
1 hour of shop labor = $110
Parts = $60
Glad you're safe and back on the road!

Re: Broken down :(
Very happy nothing serious happened while you were driving (like an accident), and that it wasn't a major issue with the machine. Unfortunate a belt went, but at least "it's just a belt." Yikes that's a lot of money! (I'm guessing $205 USD) Seems a bit steep, what is the breakdown of the b...

Re: Why a WHITE helmet
I delved into the subject of drivers "not seeing" motorcyclists deeply last Fall when a woman at a T-intersection was stopped and looking down at her phone, checked for traffic by looking up and straight at me--directly in the eyes--then pulled out right in front of me creating another nea...

Re: GoPro Mount Suggestions
Mel, I tried putting a ThinkWare dashcam on a Slingshot, kept triggering the collision alert. Tried a GoPro on the Fury handlebar, too much vibration over 35. It might work on a PCX though, as they're really smooth. I use all aluminum pieces from RAM since they are more solid than the high-density p...

Re: What has been your longest continual ride on the PCX?
My longest ride? Probably 10 miles, and then only because I store it for Squirrel and she didn't winterize it due to the extended season we had this year & the one or two 65F days a month we're getting. So if it hasn't been run for a month and she''s working on "the warm day" I'll take...

I thought it was in the U.S. manual, but here's a link regardless. See page 52-60.rvkssl wrote:Does anyone have the description of the start/stop system from the manual? in my manual the system isn't covered ( US manual)

Save your breath. Common sense and practicalities are lost on them  If you have nothing intellectual nor funny to add, you could stop trolling the forum. There's no issue with you having a differing opinion--that's how we tend to learn things in many cases, but continuing to post nonsensical c...

Re: Idle Stop
don't worry about it !! It's just "better", the techies guarantee it ...... simply a matter of science and simply being open to accept progress and change and - well, a few personal sacrifices while the initial system bugs are worked out. personal sacrifices= $ bugs are worked out = $ the...

Re: Battery need a new one??
Wow. We seem to go through a sky falling stage. Everyone needs to stop thinking and get back on their bikes. You and science don't get along, do you? Keep thinking, it's what humans should be doing. This is true when there is a standard run of the engine without start/stop. The scooter Honda there ...

Completely illegal in the United States as they are not Department Of Transportation certified. However, nobody usually cares as long as they're not abnormally impeding other drivers' vision.

Re: Battery need a new one??
Stop/start wears the battery which is supplying current while the engine is not generating it; all batteries have a limited amount of charge/discharge ability and this is using it. On the restart there is no oil pressure which contribute greatly to engine wear, unless the laws of physics are somehow...

Re: Battery need a new one??
No mandatory start / stop in the U. S., so we don't have it (it's really hard on the engine due to no oil pressure during startup causing wear). I'm looking at going lithium for the Fury, but $350...ouch. Thanks for the topic...found this as far as cold weather: In cold weather (-4⁰F) the Lithium Pr...

Re: Replace Brake Levers / Racing Lever Upgrade
11.) The other side (right side) is much the same, but easier. (Your left hand is where the wedding ring or "slave band" goes, you didn't think that would be easy, did you?) After removing the pivot bolt the lever just pulls out! Instead of pulling a cable the lever pushes against a hydra...
