Re: My 2013 PCX 150

Nice connectors. Thanks for the link.
I ordered a bunch(100) molex 2-pin connectors, but when they run out, I just might go to these!!

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

On my molex connectors, I fill the back end of them with clear silicone sealant, then heat shrink over the wire and back end of the connector. All my connectors are fairly well protected from the weather. Any that might be open to the elements, I would suggest dielectric grease. It is non-conductive...

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

I used Molex locking 2 and 3 pin connectors for all my lights.
Each light has it's own connector with a "Y" splitter cable where two lights are close together.
My switches use 3 pin connectors because they are lighted switches.

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

Mel46,
I guess I will have to get some new bulbs.
Mine are really dim.
I hope I can replace them without tearing everything apart on the front, again!!!

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

Mel46,
That looks sweet!!!
What headlight bulbs are you using?
The only LED HS5 bulbs I could find were $70 a piece.
I really like that look, and it makes you more visible!!

Great Job!!

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

What did you use for the lower lights that you added on?
I've been looking for sockets that I can press in.
I've seen them before at auto parts stores, but I want something a little smaller.

I like the idea of adding more lights to the available places!!

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

Wow, Mel46!!! That's a serious take down!! I've thought about adding lights to the headlight assembly, too. Take pics of your progress, I'd like to see how it goes and what parts you use!! Yeah, it's all together, except for that one little panel. It's the one that covers the single bolt in the larg...

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

Well, my scoot is now back together, with the exception of the small cover just above the fuel door. The new large panel between the dash and the fuel door is not for the American PCX as I noted in an earlier post. So, while there are no turn signal holds, which I like, there also wasn't a hole for ...

Re: New PCX 2018 tire size

The numbers on a tire are the width(in millimeters) and the sidewall aspect ratio(in percentage).

So, a 120/70 tire would be 120mm wide and the sidewall height would be 70% of the width or 84mm tall.
Hope this helps.

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

Thanks, Mel46

The only sticker I am the least bit concerned about is the one on the right side as it has the VIN#.
Unfortunately, that one isn't listed.
I may just use a heat gun and try to remove it and then put it on with contact cement.

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

I know it's been a while since the last update, but the scoot's been down since the deer altercation. I got new turn signals, mirrors and some plastics. The turn signals fit perfectly in the stock locations but do not stick out like the stock ones. The mirrors are bar end mirrors and they look great...

 tempting...

Flags is another word for paving slabs over here. From flagstones.
I've seen pictures of people carrying many things on scooters, why not Flagstones? LOL!!

So, do you just fill the top box with sand and stick the flag in there?

Re: Cig lighter 12v socket for battery tender

Old thread, I put in a cable directly to the battery. It is in the front of the compartment just above the battery. The seat stays open a little during the winter. It is covered in tape to stop shorting. The Forza will be parked soon for the icy roads. I have a small solar cell on the shed roof tha...

Re: PCX Panel Sourcing

With the recent scooter accident, I am also looking at the panels.
How well do these panels match the original mounting?
I was looking at the Bikerbits site and they have a complete silver plastics set.
That might be something that would interest me.
Any info would be appreciated!!

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

My son is getting all the costs together.
If it is less than the deductible, we'll just get the parts and do the repair.
Otherwise, we'll make the claim and see how it goes.
Thanks for the input!!

Re: My 2013 PCX 150

We have various herds of deer all over out where we live. I keep my speed down quite a bit, at night especially. My son is still more daring than I would like(as all dads feel). So, he was traveling faster than I would have been. But, fortunately, he is mostly okay and this has been a bit of a wake-...
