Re: 2015 Honda PCX150 Black Metallic (Performance informatio
 OK I just did a write up and it did not post. Look at it this way: o-O =Circles=Pulleys=Variators Two circles/gears/variators. The stock only lets the belt run out to a limit. The NCY will let it run out further than stock. It will take the small circle 2-3 turns to complete 1 turn of the lar...

Re: 2015 Honda PCX150 Black Metallic (Performance informatio
Chuck there's the service manual way to access the vario cover to expose the belt and pulleys and the easy way without removing the lower plastics. When you get ready to do this mod check back if you haven't already figured this out. Also I would be very interested in the holding tool you fashion t...

Chuck you lucky Speed Racer  Put that shiney new PCX year in your profile so's we can always see it. PLUS we must have a picture or two of the Precious. I would get the vario parts here if they have them, pay no attention to the year they claim these fit. They haven't updated their product dis...

2015 Honda PCX150 Black Metallic (Performance information)
Just purchased my PCX this weekend and drove her home from the dealer 57+ miles and can say "About time !!!!" She is a dream. I have been driving a Chinese brand Tao Tao Powermax VIP 150cc and there is a much..much ...much bigger difference. I will be doing upgrades to get the scooter set ...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
Congrats on the new PCX. SMax would've been better for you, but you weren't hearing that. No one around here has any scoots to work with. Lucky I found this one. This is HD country no ifs ands or buts about it. You'll have to accept 60 mph cruising speed now; I hope that doesn't leave you yearning ...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
84 mile round trip run to visit my brother. Perfect run for the day. Ran good and more than kept pace with traffic the whole trip.

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
She is here. Midnight blue with the metal sparkle. Looks black but she is not. Rode home 53+ miles and not even a 1/3rd tank of fuel. Hit rev limiter a few times but she can hold 55-60mph smooth and up hills. Did not have any issues with comfort and with the wind blowing I was not bounced around lik...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
I agree with Smaug, if you need to hold 60 MPH on the PCX then you are going to wish you had something with a little more oommppphhhhh. :geek: Before you take the plunge you may want to look around a little more to see what's available in your area in the 250cc to 400cc range that you think you can...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
If you need 65 consistently, you shouldn't buy a PCX. It will not comfortably cruise at 65, that is flat-out. You should get a 250 or 300 class bike. In the affordable price range: - Used Honda Helix - Used Honda Reflex - SYM makes some - Used Yamaha Majesty 400 - Yamaha SMax (10 mph faster than PC...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
Update. May of this year I purchased a 2017 Tao Tao Powermax VIP 150cc and have enjoyed it. Now I have been cleared on the purchase of the 2015 Honda PCX150 (Black) and hope to have it at the house either today or Sat. Been a long wait but things are starting to come together. I put 1,000k on the PM...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
I just have to figure out how I can carry my fishing poles lol I drag around a metal detector that collapses into the PCX luggage box. Honda does not make a kit but there is nothing new under the sun so I bet you could buy a pole that breaks down nicely. Or with your mechanical skills, some PVC, zi...

Here is what you will be getting into with a scooter, don't be overwhelmed by what you see. You said you wanted to tool it yourself and I agree its fun. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMucgwdtFljhD4ibSo086AkoyVAcpcIwl https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMucgwdtFljieYXsmutZ5o4wokgY...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
This is maybe the best going for a light duty freeway scooter. I have a Sym HD200 on order. Will let you guys know how it turns out. http://www.alliancepowersports.com/mobile/rv.html I have looked at the SYM models but they have no dealer near me that I know of. The Kymco Like 200i looks fun and ol...

Re: New to the PCX Foum.
Further research shows the Xciting 400i to have 90-95 mph top speed and weights in around 463 lbs. I just need the cost and be able to sit on one to check my feet and lean ability. I hope Honda does not drop the Forza all together as I like it way to much. No price yet on the Xciting 400i but EU pri...

Howdy Chuck! Welcome aboard our forum's! Nice intro. Oh so Sorry about your R.A. but it's good to read that you're managing and getting around. So much so that a scooter is on the horizon 8) Hmm, I must get this out of the way before giving you my opinion on your nearing purchase. Let's check this ...
