Re: New PCX owner - with a slight problem
Mine resists latching easily. I push the release switch and press the lid shut at the same time. My biggest aggravation is the lid doesn't pop up high enough when released to get a finger under the edge. Solution...slip a credit card under the edge and lift it. Gee, it is hard to find anything else ...

Welcome!
The PCX is indeed a fun change of pace. Know what you mean about the Burg. My Majesty was getting to be more work moving around the garage or parking lot.
Love those Blue Bonnets in the spring!
Cheers!

Re: Ready For Touring
The driver's back rest is a passenger back rest he had (Power PCX) and mounted with extensions through the holes the "hump" was attached to. He is short enough that set up does not cramp him space wise. I believe the cushion on the front of the top box came that way. Some kind of bag or so...

Ready For Touring
My friend, David has been working on setting his PCX up for some serious touring. He plans to take three months off and go on a long ride around the country. http://imageshack.us/a/img689/3461/dmnx.jpg I was very impressed at how he has mounted the cases. http://imageshack.us/a/img842/8578/dxou.jpg ...

Re: PCX or fly 150? MP3?
I have a PCX 125 and love it! Just put over 360 miles on it riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and area Friday and Saturday. A Fly 150 sort of fell in my lap a couple of weeks ago. 14,000 miles on it, but runs like a top. Cost me an old generator out of a salvaged motor home and a weeks rent in my RV par...

Something Different
Last week another scooter "found" me. A chap staying in my RV park was curious about a project to remove a generator from an abandoned motorhome on the property. Somehow he knew I liked scooters and wound up offering a trade for the gen set and a weeks rent........ Since I spend every othe...

Re: Riding Hwy 30 and Others with Pics...
Great RR. My Dad's family came from west of Crossville, the other side of Smith's Chapel on highway 70.
I hope to get over that way and visit Rugby where my Grandmother had a home sometime this fall.
The Cumberland Plateau offers some great riding, indeed!
Thanks again!

Re: Feeling sorry for the PCX 125?
Whatever the reasoning, it had a delightful effect on my wallet. The used price for 125's plummeted with the introduction of the 150. !,800 clams for a mint PCX with 1,800 miles made the fun/cost ratio very favorable.
I ride the Majesty less since the little Honda came home with me.

Re: PCX+BRP=FUN
One always needs to pack a camera under the seat or in the glove box, but its amazing how good mobile phone pics and vids can be these days! When I went up my local mountain I used my small keychain video but screwed up pressing the small buttons incorrectly with my bike gloves so no video came out...

PCX+BRP=FUN
Just got back from a 160 mile, picture perfect day...and where was the camera?...at home! Met up with four other riders this morning for a ride up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were not committed to which direction or how far to go when there, but it did not matter as it was one of those &quo...

Ooh! Rain in the mountains. :x Seems like you can't ever get really dry once soaked through. I got stuck in a "Rhody Hell" during a rain shower near Lake Burton. The humidity was so high I thought mold would start growing on me before I got out! My rig is a "Crazy Crib". The fly ...

Re: Off To See The Lizard
You guessed correctly, Don. Retired now. Some riding friends awarded me that "handle" several years ago when I lived in Maine. Thanks, WN, those are warning markers on power lines for aircraft that might come through. That is one of the reservoirs on the Tennessee river. There is a dam jus...

Excellent! The pic of the bikes loaded on the ferry is worthy of "Front Page" on the ADV site.

My full face and 3/4 helmets would not fit under the stock seat (I have a big head ). Definitely not under the new one. The pan is shaped differently and it does seem to sit slightly lower.
