Re: msrp AND SRP

Welcome! I shopped between three local dealers here in TN and they all had various shipping and destination charges, plus assembly and doc fees and taxes. Got quotes from all three for the same red PCX 150 that they each had on their showroom floor. Figured out that assembly on the PCX is very minim...

Re: The most miles per tank

Old thread, but I'm really working to try and maximize the mpg on mine. My Metro scooter was almost always flat-out on throttle, so mileage was actually pretty poor for 50cc at around 70-80mpg. The PCX in my first month has been all over the place from the low 70's to a high of 92mpg on the last tan...

PCX Cup Holder

There has got to be a solution for getting a simple cup holder on the PCX! If the Metro has one, why not the more civilized PCX!? There is so much open space along the inside of the front fairing that is just begging for the right accessory mount. I really love grabbing a cup of coffee on the way to...

Re: Oil grade

Then what's with no energy saving oils? I run Mobil 1 5W-30 in my car and obviously I have left overs from a service that adds up to at least enough to do a service on the PCX. Now I read that people put in whatever and it'd work but I'm just not confident just throwing in even Mobil 1 in there. My...

Re: Upgraded to PCX 150!

Hi PCX Commuter! Your boys look mighty happy sitting right there :D Adorable! So, how would you compare the ride of the Met to the PCX? What accessories are you going to add? Great question. I persuaded my wife to give the PCX a drive last weekend. She was highly resistant, because of how much larg...

Re: Versions

Fantastic! Great idea on the side stand. We'll call it the "Side-Stand-Swipe US Idle Stop" feature.

Someone send that up to Honda marketing! :) I'll give it a shot on my drive home.

Difference between a Scooter and a Motorcycle?

What is the difference between a scooter and a motorcycle? I seem to get asked this more often in conversations about my PCX and I'm a little stumped. Power train Broadly speaking, it seems like the majority of scooters are automatic transmissions. Belt-drive seems the most common, but not all are. ...

Re: How To: Install a Trunk

Yikes! Sorry to hear about your threading troubles. Especially challenging here, since these bolt holes are not pass-through where you could attach a nut on the underside. Sounds like you have it taken care of, but if you have any more trouble, I'd recommend a metric tap. A decent tap can often rest...

Ordered my PCX 150 manual from Helm Inc in the US for $46 with shipping. Should have it tomorrow!

Re: Hi, new to the forum. I got a PCX 150

Hi and welcome! I just got my PCX 150 at the start of the year. Agree with your storage issues. I'm coming from a Metropolitan and really missed the flat floorboard. Added a Givi rear trunk / top case and now feel like I can carry similar loads. Plus, my passengers feel more secure! I added a "...

Re: Versions

Since this thread seems to have gotten all about idle-stop, I'm curious if any of the US riders have attempted to just use the kill switch and tapping the start button as a manual "idle stop" to any decent mileage impact? Enjoyed the link to the French review site that gn2 offered. Curious...

Re: How To: Install a Trunk

Hey WhiteNoise. Ha! No, got both blinkers on there. Probably just odd angles since I was trying to hide my messy garage! Good guesses on the pins, but they are in fact the lock pins from the hydraulic tensioners for Honda V6 timing belts. They get cranked down at 2,200 lbs on a vise or press and the...

Re: Upgraded spark plug for PCX?

Thanks all. Appreciate the discussion. On my Metro, the plug was cleaned and gapped recently, but I was still getting a rough idle at cold start and not terribly smooth acceleration. Perhaps my older plug was just worn down? Either way, I may get one of them and see if anything changes on my PCX. Fo...

Upgraded spark plug for PCX?

Hi everyone, Curious if anyone has upgraded their spark plug from the stock one? I recently installed an NGK Iridium in my 50cc Metro with 11k miles and immediately noticed a difference in smoother idle and better acceleration. Wondering if I swapped out on my PCX from the NGK CPR7EA-9 to the CPR7EA...

How-To: Install a Trunk

Right out the gate, I have to disclose that I am a Honda fanatic. Virtually every bit of machinery in my home is from Honda. Two cars, two scooters, a riding tractor and a push mower. I'm also a HUGE fan of OEM parts from Honda. I've also spent over 20 years working on Hondas as a side business doin...

Upgraded to PCX 150!

Hi all, Glad to be a part of the PCX community! After 10 years and a little over 11,000 miles commuting on my Metropolitan, I decided to step up to the PCX 150 on Jan 2nd. Something you already know, but what a great bike! I grew up driving off-road motorcycles, but my Metro was my first on-road two...
