Re: New pads and discs strikes again!

It rains but we have no salty roads unless the northern countys. You are right, brakes suffer and the whole motorcycle does by mixed salt and dirt and must be cleaned very well and use silicon protectors and waxes to keep her in shape. The same problems here in islands or near the sea now i understa...

Re: New pads and discs strikes again!

So how do get Honda to admit the brake design is defective? Why is it defective ? I did not understand the reason. It is defective because with very little use it wears out much quicker than other motorcycles. It is defective because Honda put a heat source (muffler) right beside a safety critical ...

Re: performance degredation - 4 years and daily motorway rid

Belt - rollers - sliders - clutch should be checked by the dealer and especially at 24.000 kms according to the owners manual.

Usually these components cause less top speed and other issues such as vibrations weird sounds etc all because of the poor transmission service.

Re: New pads and discs strikes again!

Does anyone know the minimum thickness of the Forza 300 rear disc? I wore out my pads down to the metal. My disk is at 0.226 inches thick. Do I need a new disk? It is written on the disk. Examine it carefully and you will see it. If the disk is damaged and there are deep scratches on it unfortunate...

Re: New pads and discs strikes again!

We have installed the same disk (BRAKING) on SH 300/C ABS and it's an excellent upgrade.
Go for it.
For sure better than OEM.

We also use EBC HH SINTERED brake pads, they are excellent too.

Re: Idle stop technology useage

You are right. I use it just because it's there, i can't say for sure that it effects economy so much HONDA says and as you have allready said it's very economical one way or another. I just wanted to say that if you use it, there is no problem at all for a flat battery as i have seen untill now. Bu...

Re: Idle stop technology useage

They say there is an extra economy to the consumption 5% and above and it's logicall in the heavy city traffic full of stop and go to the traffic lights.
They have also installed a higher Ah capacity batterie (by 1 Ah).
As i have allready mentioned i use it without any problems untill now.

Re: Possible overheating

Exactly the same as j.d.b. has allready mentioned are mentioned in the service manual of my SH 300 and this is the right way to take the air out of the system when a change of coolant is performed.
