Re: Accessory socket inside Front Box

USB circuit works fine for two 18w LED lights that stay on all of the time. More accessories will be added, just need to prioritize them.

Re: What do YOU set valve clearances to?

I have PCX150v1 (2012) The first time I checked valves on 12000km- it was fine (according to spec- no need to adjust) But also I'm a mechanik and check valves on not mine PCXs (according manual at first 1000km)- usually it is LED models, and I want to tell- most of them NEEDS to adjustment at first...

Re: How to bypass the safe engine start ?

I would like to remove the side stand starter switch. I warm up my bike before use and would prefer no engine disabling when the side stand is down. I know the good and bad, but the bad outweighs the good for me. Check out this thread. http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6168 It is in the H...

Re: Honda PCX Manual

Drew, I have the 2017 LED manual. What are you looking for? The easiest way to add LED lights is to tap into the accessory 12v wire so the lights turn on when the bike is on instead of directly wiring it to the battery and is constantly on. Wire is located in its own loom with 2 wires inside under t...

Hi gang, Here's the interesting thing, for the first time I wasn't tailgated or had any cars consider driving out in front of me! 8) Cheers, Gav. The idea that a loud exhaust increases safety is a MYTH, and it is downright dangerous to give this advice to give this bad advice to others as think the...

Re: Losing oil?

Use synthetic oil instead of regular oil. Your engine will thank you. Even if you do or do not fix the oil problem, you should still need to use synthetic oil. Mel, why synthetic? There's a link to a break in proceedure that recocmends Dino oil for a thousand or so US miles. I plan on changing to s...

Re: 2016 pcx 150 ticking noise

Hi Mike888, I will add that it is normal to hear the rollers (and particularly sliders!) move around as the variator engages and disengages. To me this is sort of a clunking noise like rotating or shaking a spray can bottle with 6 big BBs in it. Separate to what you may be hearing, I have a vibrati...

I think Honda has taken care of the PCX's few early bugs, so the 2017 should be perfectly fine, but... ...ask the dealer about the 'clutch bearing thing'. The only acceptable answer: "yes, yes, they fixed that with better bearings and a 'bit' more grease". Haha! Sorry, tried to search. Do...

Re: Michelin City grips.. first blush

Something we need to keep in mind when considering wear and tear on tires/tyres is the driving conditions, which includes, but is not limited to: City vs rural riding; Particular type of road surface material used which can even very from region to region within a country; Weather (here in Bangkok ...

Re: Seats from Thailand A few questions.

Are the MPMotor seats real leather? Also, if I order one with the OEM Honda frame, do I still need to use the old rubber seal? Lastly, I'm tall in the torso and my pants inseam is only 32. I'm wondering if I need to order with the back brace moved back? The seat with the Honda frame came with the w...
