i thought it was a good read - the 50 list above, not 50 shades of badly written hype

Re: About to buy a pcx 150 - couple questions

I've ridden in the rain since the first day I bought a scooter, I was going to wimp out but decided its better to just get on it and go! I don't mind riding in the rain at all, just take it slower around the bends and leave a bigger stopping gap! Oh and I use the combined brake more than the front! ...

Re: Sizing helmets online

You absolutely have to try on the helmets, I was a large in the cheap box scope helmet I had and it fitted perfectly! When I bought the new caberg ego I couldn't even get the large on my head!! I got the XL and that fits perfectly! Shoei, arai and shark didn't fit well at all which was a shame as I'...

Re: Front Brake Failure - Temporary

I've read that's common on a few american mountainbike forums! Over here the right is always the front brake, I'd probably be having some scary moments if I was to mix them up :)

Re: Getting a PCX 125 on Saturday!

And three years warranty. But short service intervals. Kymco are also at the bargain end of the market and worth a look. I looked at loads of scooters before I decided on the pcx (which I invariably didn't get) and the next on the list was a kymco super 8 or the agility city, could get both for £17...

Re: Getting a PCX 125 on Saturday!

If you haven't driven/ridden around the local roads you'll find it hard to figure out where to go, its completely different if you're walking it or as a passenger in a car. Practice will help, just have a ride around on a sunday to familiarise yourself with it, you don't want to be all over the plac...

Re: My other bike

i prefer hardtail for the speed and i dont ride as much gnarly stuff anymore. Thats the actual Merida world championship carbon bike from 2010, rides fantastic and weighs less than most road bikes. Unfortunately its up for sale as i need the cash to pay for the S-Wing. got my eye on a Merida 29er ha...

Re: KTM 125 Duke.

I love those Dukes, i nearly bought one, a mate bought one and i had a go on it. it was 50/50 whether i got one or went for a scooter. in the end it was the ease of use of the twist and go that persuaded me. really smart bike though

Re: new helmet - Caberg Ego

i rode today with thehelmets top 'sunroof' open and it didnt leak at all. apparantly if any rain seaps through the grill the blast of wind therough the front channel blows it out the 'exhaust' vent at the back! i dont care how they do it, it works perfectly!

Re: Not going to order the PCX because . . . . .

I'd be curious to see the swing parked next to a PCX for size comparison. Lou, is it much bigger? (I ask because of your small garage big bike comment) I'll see if I can park up next to a pcx at the local honda dealer when he has them out! Or if the ball and chains aunty comes over I'll get a pic, ...

Re: new helmet - Caberg Ego

I debated just changing my visa for a tinted one but I ride a fair bit in the dark and don't like riding visor up.

The vent on the top by the way is HUGE! Its like a sunroof with metal grill that you can slide shut!
