Re: What is the most gas-efficient speed?

The best measured tank I ever had was about 2-3 weeks after I got my 125... when I went on a long, slow ride with some 50cc riders that averaged 24mph, as measured by MyTracks. :) My daily commute is more like an average of 38mph (with much at 50+), and so my overall average is a LOT lower than that...

Re: this place looks good for parts in US

... but then I placed the order, as $52 seemed pretty reasonable for a drive belt, roller weights and an air filter, overall. And a damn-sight cheaper than my dealer. :) I'll let y'all know how soon the parts arrive. If UPS standard ground shipping is less than $17, as I suspect it will be, I'll let...

Re: this place looks good for parts in US

Plus, shipping apparently adds ~33%... wowzers.

I tested out one air filter, one roller set and one drive belt = $34.81 US
"ground shipping" to zip 37086 = $17.34

Re: My first twilight ride taught me something...

The Novus #1 sounds good! I've been using a product called All Kleer by Black Lab Corp, and it has some pretty amazing plastic-protecting and -cleaning properties. Bugs are easier to remove if they stick at all, and it repels rain and fog-up very well. You do have to use it often (2-3 times/week) to...

Re: Newest guy (it says so at the bottom of the page!)

By the way, just curious, what is the 'Thai' sign behind Wanda. Did you take her out to a Thai restaurant for dinner? :) It is a Thai restaurant that's on the 27-mile, one-way commute back home every day. I didn't stop for pad thai, 'cause I'm one of the working poor, and just cannot afford such lu...

Re: Centerstand Bosses Revisited

Why don't we not worry about it until it happens. Or not Well, I for one am glad to be alerted to this, as I have a 125, and always use the center stand, as I was taught by Scooter Masters. ;) Fortunately, I have access to people skilled in many types of welding, so if the need arises, I hope to be...

Re: Newest guy (it says so at the bottom of the page!)

Welcome to the forums! :) Have you ever been to the Blue vs Grey scooter rally up near you? I wanted to make it up this year, but was too busy. I heard it was fun. :) Thanks! I'm an active participant @ scootnashville.com , and I can't say I actively plan any of it (the vintage guys handle all that...
