Re: Engine is dead..
I've been a mechanic and a technician for the last nine years on everything from tractor trailers and route trucks to movie rental kiosks and Porsches. I'm just suggesting diagnosing your issue. Was there any noise when it died or did it just suddenly stop running?

Re: Hand-guards, Winter Gloves, and the bits in between..
Search handlebar muffs on google. Then search Komine on webike under brands. Handlebar covers are like a mitten wrapped around the controls that you put your hand into.

Re: Dream Car
I'll stick with my old Porsche 944 that I paid $1800 for. It gets 26 mpg at 85mph and 22 at 115... At least that's what I'm told ;D

Re: Givi short wind
You use a taller screen... He givi short is very aerodynamic. The taller screens will require more power to deflect the wind thus reducing your top end and fuel economy. If you ride below 60mph a tall screen will be great for you. If you ride over that stick with the givi short.

Sendler respectfully how has my story changed? My aftermarket parts include an NCY variator and two different windscreens. I'm just trying to contribute to the forum.

Re: Re: Engine is dead..
Does your crank turn? Do you have compression? Did the injector or fuel pump die? Don't just assume it needs a rebuild. Pull the plug and complete a compression test. Before that check for spark. If ou have spark and compression check for fuel.

Re: Takegawa Variator (how to install an aftermarket variato
In short my chatter was due to the variator faces being too far appart. Just another possible issue to be aware of. With this though there was slipping and chatter at almost all speeds.

Re: Takegawa Variator (how to install an aftermarket variato
The point of the shim at least in my case, is to tighten the boss against the drive face. With the NCY variator there is a gap between the variator and the drive face. Thinking about this I realize I used a shim for a different reason than most. What happened to me was simply that the new variator b...

Re: New to forum, and a new PCX 150 owner
Oh also drop your roller weight to 12 grams. It will help acceleration immensely by raising rpms to 8000 where peak power is. Multiple people have found this to be true. Ask Pcxdemon about this.

Re: New to forum, and a new PCX 150 owner
The large screens cut down performance a LOT. I have a tall biondi and a short givi. The mileage difference is considerable also. The short givi is a good windbreak. You get air on your shoulders and the top of your helmet. I'm 5'6" and 170 lbs. order the short givi first before you commit to a...

Re: Takegawa Variator (how to install an aftermarket variato
I realized something it doesn't matter which side your spacer is installed on. The spacer shims the variator boss which in turn moves the outer pulley half. Whether you shim in front of or behind the boss it moves the outer drive face out. With the NCY variator a shim MUST be installed to allow the ...

Re: Removing body panels :-0
If your REALLY careful you can remove the seat, under seat storage, and battery box to complete the valve adjustment. The trickiest point is the two bolts that hold down the sides of the battery box as you need to "flex" the panels at their most narrow point just behind the fuel cap access...

You just need a picture of kneeling next to the bike with your ear against the bodywork under the front of the seat and then one more picture of you waving it off kneeling next to the scooter.
Done.
Done.

I emailed Yuminashi and was told to complete engine upgrades such as a cam and exhaust before installing their gear ratio kit. Very disappointing.

Re: Regular Gas?
maddiedog can we ad the specs for the pcx 150 into the how-to. The senior mechanic at my local dealer (30+ years of working on Honda bikes) showed me the spec in his book to be (erroneous, removed. Proper spec in how-to) for the exhaust specs.
