Winter Oil

Has anybody/everybody swapped over to 10w30 from 10w40 for the colder weather yet? I can't find 30 locally and wondered about just continuing using 10w40. Maybe I can't find any 30 because every mb and scoot rider has bought all the stock :)

Re: received my honda pcx top box and plates that it sits on

It's much easier to put the top box on when using the centre stand for some reason. Everything just locates a bit better.

Re: PGM-FI Problems.

It now seems certain that the breather pipe should be routed under the bracket. If anyone reading this is going to be removing their storage box anytime soon make sure you check your pipe hasn't been pinched as mine was. I've doing a huge amount of reading recently ;) And I've come to the conclusion...

http://www.machinemart.co.uk/images/library/product/medium/04/040218215.jpg?2 Get your self one of those telescopic magnetic pick up tool things and have a ratch around in the space around the lock, they're very useful and you might be able to fish the nut out. If you can't get at the nut then you ...

They're not cheap it's true, but they are tested to full face standards I think.

I'd wait until you need to replace your IRCs before buying Michelin or maybe by then Pirelli Diablos (costs aren't much higher). You'll get about 5000 miles out of your rear and much higher miles out of the front. As for grip the Michelin City Grip is much better cornering on wet roads than the IRC ...

I wondered about getting an air horn to blast the scammers with (they phone quite often). I like the idea of one of these turds somewhere with bleeding ears.

The Schuberth C3 is only 1550g - don't know how this compares to full face.

Re: Scam Alert.

I remember a tv interview with a hacker who now works for the good guys - he said he has a credit card with a limit of £200 that he uses exclusively for internet purchases - that way if the details are stolen the criminals can't get too much cash. helppconline seem to operate all over the English sp...

Re: PGM-FI Problems.

When I took the scooter to the dealer they said there was a cable going to the ecu that was pinched somewhere and may have had a break in it. I don't know which cable they were talking about though. From the finger prints left on the panels I would say they only took off the right hand one under the...

Re: nearly came off again tonight, wheel slipped again. no b

It's been quite frosty today which can make things interesting, also the roads are pretty greasy as well - if there's any diesel on the road with water on top then you'll get a nice surprise. I'm using michelin city grips and although they are better than the IRC they're not immune to slipping. It's...

Re: Woolley's PCX

Full bike test and training is getting near £600! I can't justify this cost at the moment so I'm stuck on L plates for the time being. L plates have a very great advantage though - if I'm filtering for example and I'm getting squeezed I just wobble the handlebars a bit and look like I'm going to hit...

Scam Alert.

On Thursday my 90 year old dad got scammed by a cold caller saying they had been told by Microsoft that his computer was running slow and was likely to breakdown soon. This they promised the could fix this if he paid them £99. They directed him to their website helppconline.com (which has been point...

Re: PGM-FI Problems.

Hi, looking at the following pic (taken from the How to: Adjust your valves) the cable is in fact the breather pipe - being pointed to. You can see the bracket where the pipe is pinched to the right of his hand (how'd he keep so clean? I'm usually covered in dirt, oil and blood by the time I get to ...
