Re: Hello everyone
Hi and welcome to the forum. I've got the Honda tall screen and top box on my pcx. The rear top panel behind the seat will have four holes drilled through it so the mounting plate bolts can screw into the grab rail beneath it. It's not as bad as it sounds because the holes are out of sight, unless y...

Re: Does anyone have a Givi E37 or E34 top box ?
Just a quick note here, guys. The workshop supervisor at my Honda dealer told me that the original 26L top box is made by SHAD, not by GIVI. Unfortunately, SHAD products don't have a good reputation around here. My thought is that your mount won't fit the GIVI top box, Edscoot. However, take this a...

Re: Does anyone have a Givi E37 or E34 top box ?
I'm planning a trip round the UK coast for the beginning of July and I've been wondering if the E450 would fit on my existing Honda (It's a Givi really) 26lt mounting. I see that they are all 3kg max load - which is crap, but that's the combined weight of my tent and sleeping bag. http://www.bikebit...

Re: a Bikers worst enemy..
I took most of the panels off in December and Waxoyled the frame and fixings. WD40 and the like keep the swing arm and alloy bits looking as good as new
I wouldn't like to have to keep a Harley or Triumph Rocket clean during the Winter though.

My rear city grip is now down to 3mm tread depth and needs replacing with approximately 4500mls on it. The front with a slightly higher milage is down to 4mm - I expected better wear from the front.

Re: a Bikers worst enemy..
That looks expensive. Maybe it might make sense to get a complete set of new panels ( I wonder if the UK will be able to get the red ones), the cost of a complete set isn't as bad as you might expect, but the exhaust will cost. If you have somewhere to store them then maybe you could just fix the on...

Well done I am at 25 miles, had the bike 3 weeks was raining for 2 weeks now the sun is out am busy building a security shed for it. Build a wooden one - I had one of those cheap metal ones once. You get a lot of condensation with metal. Also, you could just give the doors a kick and they'd come of...

Re: Riding with full beam on all the time.
Well I've done the test. Must have done around 350mls plus in bright sunshine with full beam on at all times except when it was obvious that I had been noticed (behind a car in slow traffic/cueing etc.). At no time did I ever get flashed, tooted or otherwise made to think the light was uncomfortable...

Glad you're Ok. You could make your scooter into something like Eddie Van Halens guitar with the tape :) ? http://www.edroman.com/guitars/kramer/kramer_models/kramer_c5150_evh1.jpg I've got a C3. I bought it because I had read it was the only flip front that was tested to the same strength as full f...

I'll probably break through 10,000 today. It's over 9900 now. I'm booked in for my 10k service next wednesday but with the good weather the UK is getting at the moment, I expect I'll be on 11,000 by then

My last fill gave me 139mpg :D :D :D 5.31ltr for 162.5 miles. Summer has finally arrived and the temperatures have gone up. I think this must be playing a big part in getting this mpg figure. Most of this riding was a mixture of urban and country lanes with the odd bit of riding at 60mph. I wasn't t...

Re: when do they go pop
There's about 9300ml on mine and only problem was with the pgm-fi that was soon fixed by the dealer. Serviced according to schedule and extra oil changes in-between. Runs fine but is getting a bit slower - rev limiter kicks in at indicated 60mph whereas before it was indicating 65mph when it happene...

Re: Riding with full beam on all the time.
My experiment (riding 200mls with high beam and 200 without) isn't really working at the moment due to the crap weather around where I live. Dipped beam gives plenty of visibility when the sky is overcast, like it is at the moment. I'll have to wait until/if summer arrives in the NW of England befor...

If you're rich you could try one of the Reevu helmets with a bolt in rear view mirror. Though it might suffer from the same problems as the RiderScan.

Re: Riding with full beam on all the time.
I have to say i don't agree with having full beams on all the time. When I get some prick up my rear with full beams on because they disagree with you doing 30 at that part of the 30 zone, it really scares the hell out of me. I prefer to toot the horn at anyone waiting to pull out. Then slam on the...
