Re: Thinking of selling the PCX..

My insurance was a whopping £430 fully comp for my pcx. Im the wrong side of 40 and maximum ncb on the car but as a learner in the insurers eyes on a scoot they hammered me. I swallowed it as i saved it in fuel and commuting costs compared with a car.I hoping this years is a little lighter on the wa...

Re: :( So long PCX

Sorry to hear about the theft but at least the insurers came through. This is the reason every time i leave my pcx when im out or at work its attached to something with the almax.I often drive around a bit just to find a post to attach it to.Itss easy to lift into a van and off then to deal with the ...

Re: Thinking of selling the PCX..

Even though i dont always enjoy riding my pcx with so many idiots sharing the roads i dont think i could could ever go back to commuting in a car.The fuel economy and speed through traffic is a winner for me.Only the other saturday i needed to pop out for something but the thought of sitting in traf...

Re: PCX 150?

Im surprised no one has come up with an electronic work around on the limiter yet.Cars have remap options soit sohuldnt be too hard on these i reckon.I suppose its probably not easy to to mod and make money from it at a reasonable price.

Ring around your local auto locksmiths as their prices should be cheaper than a dealer.

Handlebar muff have to be one of those must haves for the really cold weather.Since fitting mine i honestly dont think i could ride another scoooter without them unless its summer. They also have the added advantage of keeping your gloves dry when it raining.

Re: What topbox do you have

Mine is the givi e370 39L topbox. In it i can store my armoured jacket and trousers.Bearing in mind these are fully thermal lined with hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and back protectors it shows how much you can get in one topbox. It doesnt make any difference to how the scoot handle imho. I love the fact i ...

Re: Decline in MPG ??

Mine has dropped with the cooler weather too.Coldest ive been out is -3 boy do i appreciate those tucano urbano handlebar muffs when its that cold !! That was working lates a couple of weeks ago, the wind chill is the real killer as its probably a lot less than -3 when you get some speed up. Tbh ive...

Re: What topbox do you have

I have now placed a order for the GIVI E370 topbox with the rear plate kit, but also added the GIVI E108 Stop Light Kit which the E370 supports. Sounds like I'm going to have some fun fitting this xD If you are fitting the stop light kit may i suggest you fit extra leds underneath the red reflector...

Re: Poor gas mileage

Considering im not using the stop start function and carry a heavy almax chain eveywhere im still getting 100 mpg average. Not bad considering its all stop start city commuting. Now something worth bearing in mind is that i broke the scooter in by really giving it some for the first 20-30 miles NOT f...

Re: Humped?

Im with gn2 on the riding position hence why i reupholstered my seat.Sure my mods to the seat have ruined the clean lines of the pcx but boy is that seat comfortable. I can sit wherever i want now and the extra foam means it is like sitting on a sofa everyday on the way to work.
