Re: European turn signals in US?
The other thing that you want to check is "Will they pass my state's inspection?". I got my inspection a couple of days ago and noticed a very prominent sign stating "NOTICE: many aftermarket signals DO NOT pass MA inspection". The smooth look is cool, but not if I have to swap s...

Re: How-To: Swap the Rear Suspension
Very nicely done! I really appreciate the quality photos - kudos to your wife for excellent focus and lighting. At some point I may change out my shocks. MY wife and I do a fair amount of two-up, and we are not kind to the alleged weight limit. I rarely bottom out, though, so I guess its not too bad...

Re: Random spots on right side panel plastic are melting!
Highly wierd. I confess that the spots look more like something that is happening from the outside, but I don't expect you keep you scoot near a grinder or welder or other bit of hot-splatter creating machinery. If the issue was from the inside, I would expect a much more "softened area" l...

Re: Rejecting my PCX125
Sounds like you got the 300 off for a reason. If you can swing it, just cut your ties to the possibly defective scoot and get the brand new one. If you are having this much trouble out of the gate, I can't imagine that things will magically flip down the road. How much is the aggravation worth?

How in the world did you train Maddie to sit there so serenely? And what is he sitting/standing on?
Looking very cool, though!

Re: Fuelly.com call to arms
For whatever reason, Fuelly is mis-stating my milage on my banner. When I am on the site, I see that my average is 91 mpg-us, but on my banner, it is making me look like a fuel-splashing speed demon or something. I have e-mailed Fuelly tech support and they allegedly fixed it, but, alas, at least as...

Given how little gas these scooters take, it seems a minor quibble. The difference in a fill up will be... what... fifty cents?

Possibly the 45-50 mpg US might have something to do with it.

You can't try on a helmet???? THAT is total lunacy!
No test rides around here, either. I got a chance to ride some little 125 during a break at the MSF course, and that ride sewed up my getting the PCX.

Re: 4000 K Service
It is a lot of money. But there is a lot of plastic that has to be carefully removed. I'm probably in for one more factory service before I get the service manual and try to do stuff myself. Elsewise, the money saved in fuel will be totally eclipsed by service.

Re: PCX 150 2013 stability and acceleration
Granted the acceleration is not neck-snapping, but it certainly is enough to move out at a light. Especially since most of the drivers appear to be engaged in some occupation other than driving. I have no point of comparison - The PCX is the only motorized two-wheeled conveyance I have been on (othe...

Nice!
Velcro is great stuff.... for a while. You can comb out the fuzz a few times, but eventually the "little hooks" part of the program give up.
glad you could revive your jacket for short money - always a good feeling to make a good fix.

No, not every time. But he does do around 10,000 miles per year, which is quite a bit in New England. He claims to have gone down four times, but never at high speed. On no occasion was it planned. It very well might be a waste of a good platitude, but it does help one feel better about spending a f...

Good Time to Shop up here in the Frozen North
I have been thinking about getting a "real" jacket with some armour. We went to the local store (where I originally got the scoot), and it was very quiet. I found some OK stuff, but it seemed heavy (I was more looking at cool weather stuff). Then the Admiral started snooping around and had...

Re: Awesome TV series
The "Sherlock" series on PBS' Masterpiece Theater are a worthy watch. There have been three seasons, with three episodes each season. The current shows are available in their entirety (I think, and certainly hope since I'm sending you off) until 3/4/14. see http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpi...
