Re: Paint job

years ago, I repainted an old red Honda 50 cc scooter in metallic gun metal grey. I dismantled the bodywork and wet sanded the entire surface with 200-600 grit paper, primed it, sprayed a coat, wet sanded that with 600, sprayed another coat (some of the panels I did more than 2 coats), and it came o...

nope. and, since the "tank" area on the Forza is even smaller than on the PCX, I've given up, for now.

Re: 2015 pcx 150 or Forza?

I have both. I think for your needs, the PCX 150 is sufficient. If 55-60 MPH is what you're looking to top out at, you really don't need the larger bike. The mileage is closer to 100 MPG rather than 65 MPG (for the Forza), the bike is lighter and tighter on surface streets. There are a number of aft...

This review says that the forza has keyless ignition: http://www.thescooterreview.com/compone ... ?showall=1

Perhaps this didn't make it to any production version

Keyless Ignition

Any idea if I could order the keyless ignition system that's standard on the skutes in SE Asia and have the dealer install it, here in the US?

Re: Forza rear shocks

As elsewhere in North America, V-Twin cruisers are the majority of the bikes on the road here in Central California, with a number of crotch rockets -- usually driven like the owner has a death wish, which will probably be fulfilled at some point. However, there are a number of other scoots. Seen tw...

Re: if 2 wheels on your scooter aren't enough.....

Saw a Piaggio 500 in a parking lot, the other night. It was a funny looking duck. I assumed that it didn't lean, but looking at the pix on their website, it appears they do. It's still a funny duck. I would imagine that in CA you would not need an M1 or M2 license.

Re: Finally seen a PCX on the road!

Although my son now drives the PCX most of the time and I the Forza, I do see one other PCX parked most days at one of the colleges where I teach. I've shared the parking space with him/her a few times, but I have no idea who the person it. I really do prefer the PCX red to the Forza red. My biggest...

The US Forza has two gloveboxes. 1 opens with a latch. The other requires the key to be in the "opener" position and you push a button to open it.

Re: Ordered mine today!

I really like the black. My PCX is black and it's beautiful. My Forza is RED! I mean, it's REALLY RED!. The PCX red was deep with metal flake. The Forza is RED! Love the bike, but I wish we could have the option for more colors.

Re: Lowering the Forza

the Forza seat is quite wide -- much wider than the PCX seat. Before risking the balance, the ride, and the safety, I would look at a lower narrower seat. There has to be a shop that can do that mod -- and it'll probably be cheaper.

You shouldn't be too bad. Fresno, California is a warm state no? Looks like you'll be enjoying a lot of sun! We're in the Valley -- lots of sun in the summer, but, in the winter, we have what's known as Tule Fog. We can easily have visibility at a few feet with temps near freezing. So far, the fog ...

Re: Forza Gas Gauge acting up

Well, I decided to just watch it. This was only the second tank of gas I had had in that bike. 20 miles into a 100 mile jaunt -- it finally showed below full. By the time I got back, I was down to 1/3 of a tank. I ran a couple of errands. This morning, when I head out, my first trip is to the gas st...

Forza Gas Gauge acting up

The other day, I filled the tank and, of course, I got the needle pegged at full. Yesterday, I ran a couple of errands and put 44 miles on the bike, but the needle is still pegged at full. I thought maybe there was something wrong, so I stopped the bike and powered down. The needle dropped to zero w...

Re: Saddlebag combo

Yesterday, I put them back on the Forza -- they do NOT fit as well as they did on the PCX. They work, and they're stable, but they are a much better fit on the PCX. I didn't need them, so I took them off for today's ride, but I'll post pix one of these days.

Functional, yes. Optimal, no.

Re: You would not believe what I saw at a Dealer today!

I have both. I like both. Currently, my son rides the PCX 150, and I ride the Forza. I found the seat on the PCX uncomfortable, and I prefer the seat on the Forza. Nik's not thrilled with the seat, but because he weighs 100 pounds less than I, the smaller bike is better (maybe, I'll get him a differ...

Re: Seat bag, tail bag, or roll bag that's NOT quick release

Elsewhere, I have a thread with my combination saddlebags and top bag. The top bag does snap off too easy, but the saddlebags are strapped under the locked seat. That said, however, my "high-viz, armoured jacket" easily fits inside the trunk, with my helmet hanging on the strap on the hook...

Re: Anybody have a rear bracket on their Forza?

there are lots of options you could do if you don't want to spend that much for the top box.

Look at the accessory section of the PCX section and you'll see several brands of tank bags, tunnel bags, saddlebags, etc.
