Re: speedo issues

No warning light but i was told that the wiring is chafing when the suspension goes up and down i'm 17 stone so it might have something to do with that.probably doesn't stress the wiring if your lighter.your ecu has probably picked up the fault code mine never did.

Different rear wheel

Noticed a strange occurrence today, tried to change the rear wheel on a 2010 pcx125 and it wouldn't fit. Its not a long story but i have 3 rear wheels for my pcx 125 ,just me buying stuff off flea bay cheap, as a fully functioning ready to go on tire saves a lot of grief .Well I didn't know they wer...

Re: speedometer and odometer stopped working.

Sorry not really sure, it will be one of the wires to the speed sensor ,but you'll still need to take off some of the bodywork to see where it rubs. they told me that the rear suspension moves up and down and chafes the wire causing it to break.

Re: speedometer and odometer stopped working.

Its a broken wire somewhere on the loom. I had this problem fixed under warranty so don't know a lot about it.Its something to do with the suspension going up and down and rubbing through the wire .

Re: 1st accident

They must be able to take it to bits and rebuild it a lot quicker than i can,any way i rang the lady in question with the quote who was quite happy and brought the money round the ne...

Re: 1st accident

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...

you've knocked the valve cover gasket off its seating, take the valve cover off again and see if the ride has chewed the gasket up,if it has buy a new one and replace it and make sure you've got all the bits out from around the valves you might be lucky. Thats why there's oil everywhere.I think you ...

Re: Tapping valves after doing clearances...

mine sounded exactly the same and like you i used the posted revue,i think its mainly due to the body work being off the bike making it a lot louder than it actually is.The valve gasket i found was the hardest to locate and knocked it off the first time i put the valve cover back on the head.If ther...
