Re: Careful out there..

Had a Spada jacket and trousers and a berghaus waterproof over the top. And to think all those times I've questioned whether I can be bothered putting it all on..... They held up brilliantly, think the ice provided a frictionless surface so not a tear on them... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1387535542.55...

Careful out there..

Currently lying in bed nursing a sore elbow and rib, after coming off this morning on some ice on a bend. Glad it's no more than that, I was taking it easy and the protective clothing worked a treat, so actually feel quite lucky. The pcx held up quite well, in the 5am darkness there didn't look to b...

Re: Winter Storage

That's a nice guide if you're storing your bike over winter but like Maddiedog and gn2 I'll be braving the Northern England winter and using it for my commute every day.. Even my journey 2 days ago at 0400 in the driving wind and rain was enjoyable as it was on 2 wheels.. Two years in and the novelt...

Cover for winter storage

Had my scooter for about 2 years now. For the first year, as it was stored outside both at home and at work, I put a cover on it. After about a year I couldn't be bothered anymore and as the fairly cheap cover was falling apart I binned it. Just been bought a new one by family for my birthday and in...

Re: New 2013 PCX 150 owner.

Ridden my 125 every day for about 2 years, I've changed nothing, but there's now a clock on order and I'm thinking about a new seat for Xmas.. Might be because it's my first bike and I'm used to nothing else but every day I love it, even on the cold wet 5am commutes...

Re: Cat & Fiddle

Was thinking of doing Bakewell myself but headed of to Castleton for a bit first. I've been caught out the wrong side of the hills when the weather turns before and nice as it looked I'd left it a bit late in the day to go too far! Not sure about the speed cameras, they were there but couldn't reall...

Cat & Fiddle

Between Buxton & Macclesfield up here in the NW of England there's a windy road over the hills of the Peak District that's a popular and famous route for bikers. There's a nice pub at the top too (The Cat & Fiddle) which means on nice sunny Autumn days like today it's nice to jump on the sco...

Bike Test Auto UK

Thanks for starting this one, my current CBT is up in January and I'm starting to weigh up the options. I'm loving the pcx 125 but wanting to work up to something bigger. As it's my first bike I was tempted to redo the CBT and get a few more years experience but the forza has possibly changed that. ...

Re: Commuting in Winter?

Bought my pcx125 nearly 2 years ago and have commuted in every day since then to 'sunny' Manchester including 5am starts and 11pm finishes. Wimped out one day when we had a bit of snow and I'd only been on two wheels for a month so thought it safer to take the car... I don't have anything extra adde...

European scooting...

Recently came back from a bit of a tour around France / Italy / Switzerland and saw loads of scooters buzzing around the cities, making me quite jealous that the family car wasn't my PCX... I did try to rent one one morning to whizz around the Tuscany hills, but unfortunately they were all booked ou...

Tyre comparison

Excuse the possible stupid question but what exactly are the wear indicators? I've been keeping an eye on my tyres and they still look good.. But I've recently hit 10,000 miles which seems massively over what others are saying they replace them after.... Still handles as good as it ever did and I wa...

Happy (sort of) Anniversary!

Just clocked up 10,000 miles on the pcx125 after nearly 2 years of commuting on it. Think I've wimped out twice in all that time and taken the car to work instead. Love it love it love it and can't believe I didn't make the jump to 2 wheels before now.. Think I'm going to celebrate by getting rid of...

Re: Looking for a Scooter Cover...

bit late to this and sounds like you've already bought one.. But I got an Oxford Rainex cover (medium I think) which covers my pcx125 pretty well. 18 months in though it's getting a few rips in the seams but it's been on and off twice a day and stuffed under the seat while I ride to and from work so...
