Re: MSF Safety Course

I have to believe the Darwin award one was staged. How could anyone be so totally inept? What do you suppose was at the bottom of the hole?

Re: MSF Safety Course

Started with 8 in the class and ended up with 4. All 4 dropped out for no reason. No falls and everyone passed. Was a lot of fun and did things that I wouldn't expect to have to do. More confident now than when I started.

Re: what trousers do you wear?

You Brits and your trousers. Here in the colonies we call them pants. And we all drive on the "correct" side of the road. Just kidding, I love the UK and want to go back for a visit, maybe next years vacation. Or would that be next years holiday?

I just researched it and found this statement:

Because one way or another, they cost a lot of money.

I'd have to say that's a good reason. Glad my wife doesn't read this forum.

Me neither. Everybody says "ain't she a beauty". I guess it's taken for granted.

Re: How do I work out mpg?

You have to keep track of how many miles you've driven since the last fill up. Fill it again and then do the math dividing the miles by the gallons used. For example, 130 miles using 1.3 gallons would be 130/1.3 = 100 MPG. You have to use the number of gallons on the new fill up since that's the amo...

MSF Safety Course

Just completed the 3 day MSF course for my motorcycle certification. Now I can go to the motor vehicle office and get my motorcycle endorsement on my license and not have the learners permit any more. I was the only scooter in the course which started with 8 people and went down to 4 on the last day...

Re: How long you been riding?

I'll be 68 at the end of this month and just bought my PCX. Other than bicycles, this is the first motor driven two wheel vehicle I've ever had. I only have less than 100 miles on it now and I'm taking the motorcycle safety course this weekend. So far I've had it registered and insured and I have my...

Replacement Windshield

I've been through the various postings regarding windshields and I'm still unsure of what to get. I don't want to spend big bucks but I do want one that will look good and work well. I've seen too many that, to me, look kind of ugly. The PCX is a good looking scooter and I don't want to spoil it. I ...

Expected Tire Life

I realize that tire life depends on how hard the scooter is driven. What kind of tire life can I expect from the stock tires driven under moderate conditions? Just looking for a ballpark figure.

Re: Day One with my new PCX 150 !

I too am an OLD FART with a new PCX150. I've never ridden anything but a bicycle before and I'm getting used to the new scooter. I can see what everybody means about the smile. I only had it for a couple weeks and just got the license plate for it. Utah requires a motorcycle endorsement, registartio...

Re: Riding Tips

When I posted this I didn't expect to get this much response. Thank you all for the tips and videos. Although, initially some of the counter steering information seems to be the opposite of what you should be doing, after some practice, I can see how it actually works. I can totally understand the c...

Riding Tips

Got my PCX150 a couple weeks ago and I've got to say it is fun to ride. I have never driven any type of motorcycle or scooter, this is my first. I bought it basically to get around town for small errands and the occasional joy ride. My problem seems to be with cornering. I've gotten used to a long c...

Re: Tidying the PCX!

I'm new to the PCX and have yet to buy anything in the way of accessories. I like your windshield and would like more information, brand name, cost, where you bought it and how difficult to install. I'm good with tools and could do the work myself but don't know where to purchase. Thanks in advance.

MPG Question

Do any of you carry extra gas in case gas stations are not available on longer trips. Don't know if this practice is even safe or legal. It's OK to just call me a dummy for not knowing this or maybe it's just my bad planning if I run out of gas. Also, how do you all secure your scooters when you par...

New member from Utah

:) Just got on the forum today. I'm planning on buying a PCX 150 next month. I've done a lot of research on them but wondered if anyone on this forum could provide any advice and accessories you consider to be essential. Thought I'd buy it, ride it a while and get used to the experience and then add...
