Re: INSURANCE - MCE INSURANCE - ANYONE HEARD OF THEM?

Long thread about MCE over at BCF http://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=221064&highlight=mce I think I will steer clear then. It's irritating enough getting insurance. I haven't passed my bike test, not interested so ride on a CBT. Been doing them every two years and I am happy with tha...

Re: HANDLE BAR WEIGHTS

Just curious here.....why are Ya'll adding Larger Handlebar Weights to the PCX...??? I've added Them to Other Various Bikes over the years, but generally because of vibration through the Handlebars. I've really never experienced this with the PCX125 or 150.....just wondering..... 8) Because they lo...

INSURANCE - MCE INSURANCE - ANYONE HEARD OF THEM?

Has anyone heard of MCE Insurance. It is a UK based insurer. I did a quote search of compare the quote type of website and they came up more than HALF everyone else. The "it's too good to be true" warning bell went off in my head. I currently use Devitt, they OK but expensive. If you are U...

Re: Replacing body parts

Good Morning. I bought my daughter a PCX 125 on the weekend. What an excellent little scooter! I am very happy with it. The very very sad part is that she took a low speed spill and has grazed the entire right hand side of the scooter  I have been reading other peoples posts on this site and f...

Re: to AVOID on the road

Here in the UK avoid the metal manhole covers, also at this time of year the farmers seem to be putting most of their fields onto the roads too!! Def metal man hole covers, which in Birmingham always always seem to be on bends! White lines or arrow when it's really cold are a bit worry some. Oh and...

HANDLE BAR WEIGHTS

Hi Folks I am UK based and bought some handle bar weights for my hubby's black PCX 125, nice shiny silver. When he finally managed to get the factory fitted ends off using brute force and a bit of swearing we saw that the inside of the handle bar was not flush, it had a bit took out, sort of stepped...

Re: Birmingham to Scotland and back again on our Honda PCX

It's not a one day journey! We are staying at the the places listed so about two weeks. Staying at B & B's cheap hotels like Travelodge etc.. We have to keep off motorways as we are riding on CBT's only but we are both mature riders. I am 39 and 2 months and hubby is 53 10/12's  Between us ...

I call mine Prudence but I am a girl.

It is a Scooter.

If anyone calls it a moped they find out what it looks like underneath....

Mopeds are those 50cc things you hear from about 2 miles away you know that noise like a hairdryer on speed

Re: what trousers do you wear?

I wear leggings and the longest socks I can find underneath a crappy pair of jeans. If it is really cold I keep the trousers I work in, on, under my jeans. 3 layers perfect. Not rain proof but after spending a fortune on overtrousers that never work I give up. I ride 10 miles each way to and from wo...

Re: Battery went flat today

My hubby just took his Honda PCX in due to flat battery but here in the UK the battery is covered byt he warranty. If you do only short journeys (like my hubby) then the battery will use more juice than it puts back so over time the battery will just die. Consider getting a battery charger, not a ca...

SECURITY CAMERAS TO WATCH MY PCX

I bought some security cameras to watch my PCX when I am not riding it. They have motion detectors so only record if someone moves near our bikes. The website was <admin snip> He had a choice of 4 or two cameras, I just got two cameras. they have night vision as well. AND I can log in from my smart ...
