Re: Diesel + Road + Darkness = Off into the scenery
I had to do nearly the exact same thing recently, at night, road narrowing where the S bend was, oncoming car giving me bugger all room, went left as much as i could until the tarmac sheered off into gravel (terrible road)...slammed my right foot down as hard as i could and JUST managed to get back ...

Re: Maplin heated clothing
The heated insoles look interesting but they use a lot of battery power. Do those hand warmer things you got from amazon warm your fingers or just the palm of your hand? Tried them today and was pretty disappointed with the heat they gave off...they work better if you can take them out of the glove...

Re: Maplin heated clothing
I went for these hand warmers from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001THB8RM they stay warm for up to 7 hours which is ideal for me. I bought them for going between Glasgow and Inverness which takes about 6hours (via Glencoe/Lochness) not had a chance to try them yet but the reviews were ...

Re: Humped?
6 foot here, I tried it without the hump and liked it at first although if you slide too far back your basically sitting on metal, after a while i put it back on and liked the way it makes you feel more secure when accelerating...the only problem is the wet arse, a regular feature here in scotland !...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets
Scottish -- you're not supposed to get helmets 2nd hand. After a while of use, the helmet conforms to your head and won't properly protect anyone else's head, unless they have the exact same shape head. How is using bluetooth in the helmet? I've thought about getting a kit like that, but I'm afraid...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets

Re: Super scoot!
I'm sure I read somewhere that the sport is going to be around £6500 and the GT £7100, heated grips too not to mention the electric windshield on the GT....if i could afford it I'd get both!
