Re: Proper British Bike, you would agree. This is me. Pensio

I'd bet the my house that that is a Cotton. Don't know what model. Mid to late 30s 600. British plate. The two strokes were more my era. It could be a "Cotton". The tank and knee pad looks about right. No chrome rim on the headlight though. . .. :geek: That's a tough one to figure out. Th...

Here my Granny on some sort of thing in the 1930’s
There’s a bit of a debate of what it is. I’ve been told it’s a Cotton.

Re: do Chinese scooters suck?

They are cheap for a reason. I bought a cheap Chinese bike to use to get used to gears last year and it wasn't even 3 years old and it was terrible.
Mind due I had it for 3 months and got my money back when I sold it. It was a pretty unrefined thing.

At least they are winning something. They are doing nothing in F1.

Re: How many of you actually RIDE in the RAIN?

Rains not a problem. Keep it clean and you won't have any problems. We get salt on the roads in the winter and that's what causes the issues. The alloy parts get corroded quickly. A good coating of ACF-50 does the trick in keeping it in tip top condition.

so is this the sound of a bad bearing

I didn't but got one off Webike. Even with the import charges it was cheaper.
That was a while ago though I'm not sure how much they are now.

Not in the UK it doesn't.
£118 when I checked when mine was noisy.
Rip off UK Honda prices.

Mine packed in at 6000 miles and I live in Scotland so ambient temperature seems unlikely. I blame extended idling time for premature failure.

Since the trams were reintroduced in Edinburgh there have been loads of bicycle accidents with the rails. The council want to encourage cyclists but install booby traps for them.

Re: is the pcx a pos?

Do you use the start sop system? I ask because when the clutch is engaged it locked up and cause minimal wear on the bearings. If it's sitting idling for extended times say in traffic the bearing will wear quicker. Obviously if the start stop is used nothing is turning so reducing the wear. I fitted...

Makes sense.

Dr Pulley makes a great advertisement. Only positives and no negatives. Dunno if I believe it just yet, but maybe someday.
I've used them. They work quite well.

The variator is the blue item and the driven pulley with the clutch is the pink one.
