One year of scootering already.

Hi I'm Ron, new to the forum. I live in Belgium, I'm retired and because of a severe accident I can no longer ride heavy bikes. Got myself a PCX 19 months ago, just for fun rides. We are very pleased with our ride so far (just a few problems but taken care of under warranty). 10000km so far. Hello ...

Variators for increased speed,

My opinion is the if someone was to spend £xxxx on tuning parts then they are not going to say it makes no difference to the performance. I think it is placebo effect. Tell someone it makes a difference and they will think it does. I have seen boy racer kits on cars that actually make it slower! All...

Re: One year of scootering already.

I missed the 0% finance by a month but the rate is 3% or something like that. I would need to work out what's best. I would still rather clearing the debt though.

One year of scootering already.

I got my one on the 3 year finance deal. I was thinking about paying it off this time next year so once it's out of warranty it's paid for.

One year of scootering already.

I've only done 1900 miles. I use it for commuting. It's only 18 miles a day. Sometimes I have to use my car to carry stuff that won't fit on the bike for work. It had a holiday between November and the end of February due to the crappy Scottish weather. It has been trouble free unless you count suic...

That's one year I've had the pcx already. Time flys when your enjoying yourself. Road taxed it today and the insurance is due as well. Glad the tax is only £16. One years no claims on the insurance makes a difference to the premium. It's gone from £240 down to £160. It's going in for a service in a ...

How do I remove this screw?

1/4 inch drive deep sockets are usually quite slim unless you buy really cheap ones. That's what I used.

Nothing worse. I got my car stolen a while back. Bust the steering lock and stole the cd player. The police found it and I had to Hotwire to get it home which raised an eyebrow of the copper that took me to pick it up. I think he believed me when I told him I was a mechanic.

Nice bike. I've noticed the handlebar mount is black. Mine is chrome, but my bike is white. Never noticed this before.

I got the brake cable adjusted at my first service . I don't think it cost any extra so it couldn't have taken that long.
