Re: 2013 PCX 150 won’t fire and fuel guage flashes

No idea about the fuel gauge. It could be the electrical connections on the fuel pump sending unit being contaminated with stale gasoline over a period of time, and not working properly. Several tanks of fresh gas with a fuel cleaner/additive added may well cure that. Of course, the bike must start ...

Re: 2013 PCX 150 won’t fire and fuel guage flashes

2013 PCX with 61.0 miles. Does the bike still have the original battery? Normally 5-6 years old would be a REALLY good lifespan for a 12V battery. A battery can read +12V after a "charge", but instantly drop below -10V under the load of the starter. If the battery is older than 4-5 years, ...

Re: 2024 Honda PCX Preview. By "Motorcyclist"

Wow, weird how that the U.S. model has rear drum brakes. I don't yet have the PCX, however, I am considering it. Here in South America, it comes with disk brakes in the front and rear wheels for 2024. It's also available in 3 colors, white blue and metallic silver.inferior We've wondered the same t...

There's been a discussion on this idea before if you care to read it. It may or not help your decision.

Re: First Ride of the season

I rode 100 km up river and discovered I had left my wallet at home again. Too much brain damage.I rode up to Lytton to look at any new construction after the huge town destroying fire. I discovered I had left my wallet at home again. I had half a tank of gas so I had to turn around and go home, too...

Re: PCX 160 ABS works at what speed?

From what I've read, between 15-18 MPH. But an ABS system depends more on the road surface-to-tire conditions than the speed of the bike. Here's a helpful video that does a nice job explaining how the bike's ABS works. https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/how-abs-works-and-what-it-will-and-wont-do-for...

Thanks for that. I'm old and slow. Sometimes it takes several attempts to accomplish what was, believe it or not, once an easy task. I see you have plenty of different weight choices. Your profile mentions 15gr sliders on the bike mow. Let us know what you end up with and what difference, if any, yo...

A photo, exact brand, or link to the parts in question would be helpful in our search.

We've somehow lost proper translation of the Queen/King's English along the way.
With our poor quality of public education and children who, just like their parents, are by nature dumb as rocks...
It's just easier to abbreviate and keep things short and simple.

Re: First Ride of the season

I'm smiling all the way through this write-up... at your expense of course. I hope you take my saying so as good natured. Aches, pains, gray hair, lack of dexterity, and all the rest sound familiar to me at age 70 years. No reason for brain damage that I know of, but my wife and children would proba...

Re: Replacement front tire 2021 PCX 150/160

I can't answer your question. But I have a website that allows you to plug in different tire sizes for a side-by-side comparison. I'm sure there are variations from different tire manufacturers, but the visual and other data this site provides is much better than an imaginary comparison. Center Left...

Awesome. Heated grips and vest are all I need. Additional electronics, not so much... my 15-year-old flip-phone doesn't require much. ;)

2022 PCX Alternator Output

Just that. Can anyone tell me what the PCX's rated alternator output is?
Apologies if I missed it in previous discussions, but I tried and failed to get a definitive answer.
I wouldn't think much, but enough to carry heated Oxford grips and a heated vest would be helpful.

Re: Diffrent OEM parts numbers on Front Pulley but same part

Honda may reassign part numbers for each model regardless of multiple bikes using the same part. I would think that would be especially true on, perhaps, an engine that uses many of the same parts as a previous generation of a similar engine. Either way, every part I've looked up for the PCX is rema...

Re: Battery for 2018 PCX 125 UK

I've used YUASA for years with no problems. Several I've used lasted for well over 5 years. But sometimes products fail. As easy as the PCX's battery is to access, I'd give the cheaper battery a go. I doubt the difference in AH difference will matter. And a AGM is a big plus. Unless you have a local...
