Re: Honda pcx 2021 leaking oil
Do not let the oil get low so that the oil warning light comes on. This is bad. If you are worried about oil, check the dip stick regularly. It's possible the oil leak is just from spilling during a refill. It is easy to spill the oil and it will run down the stand. When the sump is drained oil can ...

Re: Best practice for long life
First, don’t overthink this. PCX is an extremely reliable machine and used all over the world with various grades of gas & oil, sometimes they never get checked and they worked fine. It’s a can you sophisticated Scooter built for the third world. The only thing you really need to watch is the o...

Re: How-To: PCX 150 CVT MAINTENANCE - 25,000 miles
The clips are annoying. I think I broke the same one when doing valves recently. I plastic welded it back on, but I'm sure it will break again. You may not have mentioned grease on the weights, but I've seen people suggest this. I think it's best to use very little grease on the drive pulley area as...

Re: Final drive gear tooth count?
https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?t=4373 A big job. Might be easier to see if you are using all the CVT pulley first and address that. There are after-market drive faces that are slightly larger. 120mm vs stock 117mm. Which will give you a bit more. Do you have a tach.? So you know if the engi...

Re: How-To: PCX 150 CVT MAINTENANCE - 25,000 miles
This post is helpful. But you don't need to remove the side panel You should be able to get a small socket wrench onto the three bolts on the CVT cover (the front one is the hardest) and from there continue as you show. It saves time and less chance of damage to side cover. I don't put grease on the...

Re: Bits in the transmission
Be sure to tell the shop about the drain bolt not wanting to thread back in. It looks like it COULD be threads from the casing the drain & fill plugs thread into - like someone overtightened it and stripped the threads (some of which then galled into the bolt threads which is why it doesn't wan...

Re: Bits in the transmission
Thanks,
I'll be opening it up and replacing the bearings. I'll look at changing the drive gears to a fast ratio also.

Bits in the transmission
I started to hear a faint whining sound, like gears meshing, sometimes when slowing to stop. I'm not sure if it's related, but recently I changed the belt and rear tyre, and so removed the clutch assembly, drive face, rear wheel (and removed and cleaned the rear brake). I decided to do the transmiss...
