Re: Winter gloves

hmmmm... now theres an Idea... and you would remove them come summer time? I've never seen a product like the grip covers you linked me to.. the only problem that I see is that the back of the heaters are coated with a heavy duty adhesive... maybe that could get on your stock grip? Cant say I'm not ...

Re: Winter gloves

ya I noticed that too... I wrote an email to the seller. Also.. DO NOT get ones made for an ATV or snowmobile. Both grips will be exactly 7/8". They use thumb throttles. not a twist throttle. The kits for motorcycles has one grip with a slightly larger inner diameter to allow space for the thro...

Re: Winter gloves

i think I wanna try the last link. For $35 and free shipping, it's worth a shot. The kind that replace the entire grip are supposed to work best and take less time to heat up. Some people report issues with the kind where you place the heating element under the existing grips. The heating element on...

anyone have different mirrors?

anyone have different mirrors? do you have pictures? I dont like how the stock ones stick up so much. Seeing that lane splitting is legal in CA, They tend to get in the way of other peoples mirrors when splitting. I'd like to find some that sit lower, or as low as the handlebars. I've thought about ...

Re: GTA V vs San Andreas

It sounds like it will be pretty cool. Might be worth checking out but when I play GTA all i do is drive around and steal peoples cars when I crash. If the map is huge this could be hours of entertainment =]

Re: Black stock PCX

I've seen people selling new plastics on ebay... I figured if I ever wanted to change the color, i could source black plastics for 3-400 bucks.. Might be cheaper than painting, and easier.

Re: What is your cage?

I had a 1999 honda CRV 4WD stick shift for 8 years. Bought it when I was 15 as a result of someone hitting me with their car and breaking my arm while I was sitting on a bus stop bench waiting to take.. the bus... It had 11,000 miles on it and cost 10,000 flat. Cherry. The dent in the bumper was fr...

Re: Leaving suspension as is

ah... you had the second generation SV. I had a 2001. About a year after I bought it I switched to the penske. True, I had gotten used to the suspension, but I found a brand new penske shock for $400.... and this was when I had disposable income, so I jumped on the deal. Racetech springs and emulato...

Re: Leaving suspension as is

i'm looking at my manual now.. they recommend 29psi in the front at all times.. Then 33psi in the rear if the payload is under 200 lbs, or 36psi if payload is over 200 lbs

But if you guys are riding around with over 40psi in your tires with good results... I'll try it out =]

Re: Leaving suspension as is

wait, you have 44psi in your tires??? I've ALWAYS had the front at 30 psi and the rear at 36psi, like the manual recommends. I'm pretty diligent about checking the pressure every few days. I carry a bike pump with me that works great on our little scooter tires.

Dave - This is the exact product that I used and loved. Installation takes a little while to make it look good... but these were a win for me. http://www.amazon.com/Symtec-Motorcycle-Handle-Warmer-210019RR/dp/B001AWRCJO/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1320606279&sr=8-9 Also saw this: cheaper but I ha...
