Re: Dynabeads and the PCX

Okay great! That sounds about right but when I was reading the dynabead description it kept talking about which kits are for which size tires, but it didn't mention how many tires the kit is for. Thanks dave, ill post here once I get them!

Re: Dynabeads and the PCX

Hmmm... maybe I should try to find a shop near by. Just in case I can't get them off myself =) should be cheaper without balancing, I would think, but that sounds like a question for the shops.

How many ounces were in the kit that you used? 3 oz?

Dynabeads and the PCX

Its getting to be time to replace my tires (at least the rear!) And I'm thinking of using dynabeads and mounting them myself. First, is a scooter tire easy to get off and on the rim? I've never changed a tire on anything smaller than a 16 inch rim. Easier? Harder? I'm thinking its about the same. I ...

Ya I guess they're a lot cheaper here in the states, and I usually replace bike tires myself =) let us know what you think about the new tires!

Re: Not a cage, but will get you around the weather.

I guess I did know what causes that, but I was referring to cheap digital cameras that make the blades appear somewhere that they could never be...like in that youtube video that woolley posted. On my cell phone it looks like the propeller is a horrizontal window blind. My SLR makes total sense to m...

Re: Not a cage, but will get you around the weather.

That looks crazy! Cell phones always make the prop look like horrizontal lines, even when taking a picture, but my nikon SLR will capture the blades where they actually are with a slight blend behind their path of travel, like you would expect with a film camera. I don't really know what causes this...

Re: Not a cage, but will get you around the weather.

Nope. Don't own the piper. Even a used one will cost you around 100 grand, and yes, it is a killer to maintain, insure, and park. I rent this, along with a few other aircraft out of Santa Monica. This being the fastest and largest one, cost $250 per flight hour to rent (including fuel). Luckily, I g...

Re: Puncture

IMO the IRC ones are cheap... and if you're going to replace the tire every time you get a puncture, IRC will save you some dough. This WILL happen again... I've probably had 10 nails in motorcycle tires, and only 2 or 3 in my car. The small wheel base makes them more susceptible to damage.

Re: Not a cage, but will get you around the weather.

Haha! The twin engine burns 20ish gallons per hour.... Aviation gas 100 octane Low Lead (100LL) . Costs $6.50 per gallon. (Scooter gas is only $3.90 here). But in that hour you can travel up to 180 miles in calm wind. The 747 and A380 are probably something ridiculous.

Not a cage, but will get you around the weather.

So there was some rain in our area, and it was making me feel droggy. It was cold and dark, and was only noon. Like come on weather! Stop dragging me down! Luckily, I have my commercial pilots license with my instrument rating, so I hopped in a piper seneca turbo charged twin engine aircraft, and go...

Re: Esdains Black Un

yep! I like darker colors when it comes to 2 wheeled machines, but between bright red and white, I went with white. I could buy black plastics for about $300, but I'm going to let my girlfriend learn how to ride it while its white first =P

Re: Post your pets

Very beautiful! My sister has her 5 children that I can play with any time. My girl and I wanna have kids, but we're struggling on money as it is right now. The only possible way we could have kids right now is if we depended on getting welfare and food stamps. But, I'd rather work hard for it, and ...

Re: Taco!

no problem maddie! They're great trucks! Pretty much anything you get will work well! I do admit the older ones are a little cramped inside... I love the look of the 05+ models but they're a little too big for what I need. The small-ness of the '02 is nice because we're in the middle of down-town ho...

Re: Puncture

I've ridden with plugs for 1000's of miles.. I'm one of the guys who will plug it, and forget about it. In fact, I just had to plug my rear tire less than a week ago. I still have maybe 2,000 miles of tread left, so I'm going to ride it until it's time to replace due to tread. However, with a front ...

HAHA... Dave you crack me up. Now I think you're stalking me. =] I had a manual 1999 Honda CRV. GREAT cars. But.... I always wanted the truck... As soon as the girl crashed her car and we needed another automatic vehicle, I jumped on getting the Tacoma. Sure, I would prefer stick, but having the aut...
