Re: First ride on my 2014 Forza
My Forza is much happier at 60-65 but as stated it will go higher as necessary, except up hill.

Re: Trying to remove the storage under seat
I am not sure it is worth all the effort in this case. Replace the shock or use a stick; it would save much time and grief. In my opinion the battery is located in a terrible spot, I hate to replace it....
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Re: Honda Forza 125 v 350
I am not familiar with the 125 but my experience with my 2015 300 is it is great on back roads, speed wise. It will do freeways but will lag down on serious uphill rides. Based on this I would assume that the 350 would be even better. So my educated guess is you would be better off with the 350! Goo...

Re: Question about ABS brakes
I have a 2012 Silver Wing with ABS and a 2015 Forza w/o ABS. I can't remember the ABS ever being needed on the big bike, interesting the Forza brakes are actually better at stopping than the 600. Not sure why, perhaps better pad materials?

Re: Security
I use the stock Honda handlebar locks plus a disk brake lock. Scooters are not a big theft item in the US except for college towns...then watch out! LOL If I have to be gone for a couple of days I also use a heavy chain and large hardened lock. If they want my scoot they are going to have to work fo...

Re: New Battery
This is the battery I use in my scooters: https://www.batterysharks.com/SigmasTek-STZ12S-p/stz12s_m12-11-210-k.htm 210 CCA too! For me removing the Forza battery is a royal pain so I choose NOT to do it each winter. Battery maintainer pigtail and hook it up for the winter! Good luck and use what YOU...

Re: New Battery
I tend to disagree. Lithium is not for me. If you forget to leave them on charge and they go totally flat it is nearly impossible to bring them back, PLUS the initial cost. I buy inexpensive AGM batteries for both my scooters and use them for 2-3 years max then replace them, much cheaper in the long...

Re: Drive belt torque settings?
Opened the CVT belt area and loosened the two bolts and torqued them properly. Not sure I need to do it but piece of mind can't hurt!

Re: Drive belt torque settings?
My torque wrench was a Craftsman so it was replaced under warranty. As soon as I can the torques will be checked and corrected if necessary!!!

Drive belt torque settings?
I replaced my CVT belt last week. All went well, scooter has 16000 miles. My question is upon reassembly my torque wrench died! Having no choice I tightened the two bolts by hand. Fired the scooter up and all seems well. The scooter is a bit quieter and smoother with the new belt. My question is sho...

Re: New Givi windshield
I can't give a lot of specifics... My mileage seems to run about the same (70 MPG or so). But for me the comfort, and less bugs hitting me are worth it. Personally, I don't like the tuck position exception for very short duration. I am happy with the Givi and have put a 100 plus miles on it so far. ...

Re: New Givi windshield
As promised, It is May and I just got my Forza out of hibernation... The Sta-Bil and a battery maintainer did their job and it started back up!
I installed the new Givi windshield and am very happy so far, too late to ride it, but tomorrow it will get a thorough testing!!!

I use a medium Airhawk. Works fine for me, just don't put too much air in it.

Re: Buying decisions - I miss my Forza
Personally I would get a low mileage one if prices are comparable. My 2015 had 13K on it in 2020 when I bought it. VERY clean and I am happy with it. Will change the belt next month. I checked my VIN when I bought it and no outstanding recalls (checked again just now with same results). If you have ...

New Givi windshield
Well I have had enough of the "shorty" windshield so I ordered a new Givi unit. My Forza is in winter storage so it will probably be installed in May of next year! Will update after that!

Re: Spark plug
I put the iridium plug in my Forza this summer, works GREAT. I installed them in my Silver Wing at 8000 miles and it now has nearly 25K on it. I am sold on the iridium plugs and don't expect to have to replace them anytime soon

Re: Removed buttrest/backrest
UPDATE: I used the Forza all summer and it helped with the space but there is not much padding! Anyway I installed a Medium Airhawk air cushion and that made a huge difference! Easy install and fixed the padding problem.
